rooms so small, you can barelly fit in room service cart inside, but cant walk around it, beds are nice, only 1 restaurant on offer in the evening, so not huge chice of food, but food was tasty. there was a leak in the shower into the WC area. a lot of troubles for 1 night

Great hotel and, as usual, your very professional and friendly staff were the stars of the show. In particular, we want to commend head concierge Tiago Tavares, who was absolutely brilliant in terms of guest relations and quality service. Give that man a raise! We loved the hotel and loved our stay. We only have 2 complaints. The first was that the air conditioning unit in one of our rooms was making a loud noise, and they had to come and fix it. This displaced our son and his family for several hours! We had just arrived so we were all very tired. Even after the repair it still made a loud noise and was a bit of a nuisance for the rest of the stay. Another complaint was timing of the battery maintenance. We were gone all day and when we returned they were just starting the maintenance and we had to get dressed to make our dinner meeting time. Another time our room did not get cleaned but this could have been an error on our part pushing the wrong doorbell button.

Our visit did not start well. We had booked interconnecting rooms with a sea view direct with the hotel. When we arrived the guy on reception wasn't very helpful. He started off by telling me we didn't have that booked, then when I showed him the email I had from a member of reservation staff at the hotel, rather than apologising and trying to fix the situation he asked me to send him the email. Totally ridiculous and not what you expect from a 5 star hotel....he could see the booking on the email, why insist on being resent an email that had been sent from the hotel! Just wound me up and his argumentative approach was not helping.
Not a good way to start a holiday and this guy was seriously lacking people skills. However, we then spoke to another member of staff who seemed to be more senior who then fixed the issue. We were given a better room that was interconnecting..no view which was frustrating but by this point I didn't want to argue anymore and was keen for the family holiday to start.
After that everything was first class...lovely food and great service on the roof top bar and restaurant. Breakfast was lovely, great service and tons of choice. The most impressive part of the stay was Tiago on the concierge desk...what a legend!! We are a family who really enjoy eating out and trying new places, he came up with some crackers...always brilliant choices, good tables and we managed to eat at some amazing restaurants during our stay. Tiago was amazing and super helpful.
Overall a great holdiay and the perfect hotel for enjoying Barcalona, just a shame about the start and the attitude of the guy at the check in desk.

I had my wedding there and it was perfect!! Not one thing bad to say about the wedding. Joaquin Egea is amazing. He was so easy to work with, very accommodating, communicative, and kind. He made our wedding experience perfect and memorable. Not one thing went wrong and it went off like planned. I attribute that to Joaquin.
The only negative comment I have about the hotel is the service staff. It wasn’t terrible but we had a couple of instances where we had a request and the staff did not respond or did not understand what we were asking. I think some staff did not comprehend English. Also, we had 6 rooms. Each of us at times did not have towels or enough towels. Sometimes the shampoo and conditioner were not filled.
The hotel is perfect. Joaquin is perfect. The service staff could be a bit better trained.

As always, my solo trip was wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and people incredibly friendly. It’s truly a place you can relax and recharge.
I enjoyed my time at El Cielo, a special thank you to Carlos and Mamadou.
The minus was the noise - either a party or neighbours waking up before 5 am and talking loudly on a balcony everyday. I would recommend avoiding the rooms with a balcony or taking the ear plugs.

We enjoyed our stay and overall we were happy with the hotel. We enjoyed the pools and the bed was comfortable. We had a few issues and notably, the housekeeping staff kept taking the wash clothes and then not replacing them. We learned that our entire family was having the same problems with wash clothes and we do recommend that the hotel provide wash clothes to guests. Additionally, there were service issues with the rooftop bar and some uncomfortable interactions with one staff member in the hotel who made comments about my son looking sick when he was not.
