As a valued Diamond member, we genuinely appreciate your loyalty and understand that you have high expectations of the experience we provide. At the same time, as an Accor member, your membership is subject to the terms and conditions associated with the program. In relation to the reservation, the Accor membership terms and conditions require the member to be present at check-in and to be staying at the hotel. On this occasion, neither you nor your wife arrived first. After speaking with via call, and receiving confirmation that you were on your way, we permitted the lady you had authorised to check in, and then we proceeded with the arrival process. During check-in, she advised our team that you would not be joining the stay, as this was a girls’ weekend. Based on the information provided to us at the time, the decision was therefore made to amend the reservation so that it was registered under the name of the guest checking in. As a result of the reservation no longer being in your name, the Accor drink vouchers associated with your membership were removed from your Accor account. Our team was subsequently instructed to transfer the reservation back into your name and reinstate the applicable drink vouchers once you arrived at the hotel. Unfortunately, as you did not present to the Front Desk during your stay, we were unable to complete this process. With regard to your expectation of a room upgrade, you had reserved our highest room category within the family room range. While we were therefore unable to provide a further upgrade, we did make every effort to ensure you received the best available room for your stay and assigned what we considered to be the nicest room available within the category. We appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention. Your feedback provides an opportunity for us to review how we communicate and manage situations such as this, and we are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations.
