As a gold member, I didn’t get an upgrade from my booked room type, instead they arranged the highest guest room floor to me that was ok for me but the worst thing was the window has no view but facing to the concrete wall that affected my overall satisfaction and the front desk staff not even mentioned about the window view thing. 2nd thing was about the welcome drink vouchers, I was invited to receive my welcome drinks at the restaurant starting from 6pm on the 21/F. When I arrived at 6pm the hostess told me the welcome drinks could be consumed not at their restaurant but outside take away or take away back to my room and drink. (The staff assumed we only came to have free drinks but not considered we might order drinks and snack and food later on.) I asked the hostess I could see there was a roof top area with tables and chairs just opposite to their restaurant entrance. The hostess told me we were not allowed to drink there as the area was closed. (Only allowed us to take pics there at the roof top but couldn’t be seated to drink) It seems that their food outlet was for guests who came to have buffet dinner but not welcomed their in-house guest to have ‘welcome drinks’ at their premise, the name ‘welcome drinks’ implies not welcome at all. I won’t choose this ibis again for next time visit, terrible.

Comfortable and tidy but room is tiny
