Location was perfect for few hours sleep in between travel , very close to the train station and everything on the door step. 3 things negatively impacted my experience and my rating. 1- I arrived in the evening and the hotel surrounding was very dodgy 2- It was a weekend and noise from the buzzing street was too loud for me to sleep( 2nd floor) 3- HK lady opened the door at around 11am without knocking while I was inside arranging my bag. Lukas was very friendly and the transport card was very handy.

We used the Ibis very briefly for our drop-over between London and Venice. It was close to the station, clean and welcoming even at a very late hour and provided all we needed to get a few hours sleep and refresh before our very early train the next day. Sadly we left before breakfast!

Despite asking for the room to be made up daily two out of 3 days, this was not completed. The location of the hotel is in a very poor area. There is quite literally prostitutes leaning against the hotel during the weekday overnight. There was parties all night from dominantly Lebanese community. Overall, this was a very poor day and I will not be using an ibis again.

The room had a foul odor, opening the window did not help and let it in the street noise which is considerable at this location. The street noise is gone when the window remains closed. I mentioned this at check-out but the clerk seem unconcerned. Otherwise my stay was in line with expectations. Good location, practical rooms if a little tired and well worn. Love the new shower heads, the power cube at the desk with EU socket and long cable is very helpful. Dimmable lights at bed are great too. I know what I'm getting, but again the smell was unpleasant. We loved the helpfulness of the staff and the facilities of the hotel were good. Room was ok, aligned with the expectation. Location was close to multiple restaurants, supermarkets and train station (all positive) but during the night on weekends the street night life was "heavier", even though it never lead to insecurity and police was seen multiple times patrolling the streets.

Charging to store luggage a few hours before check-in is absurd. Charging less to other people with larger bags is laughable and inconsistent.

We stayed in a 4 person room as a group of friends, and the hotel was excellent. the room was functional and clean while also being decently well appointed given the price. The staff were friendly and the free hot chocolate/coffee/tea in the lobby was a bonus also!
