Friendly and helpful staff at reception, especially when neither key card worked. The room was warm despite turning the heating down, and I was unable to open the window due to the location next to the M1, bin area and air conditioning units outside. The water pressure fluctuated a bit in the morning, and some of the soap/shampoo dispensers were very difficult to use or get any product out of. The room was clean overall and it was fine for a 1 night stay at the last minute. Plenty of parking and options for food/drink in the hotel or at the Toby Carvery right next door was handy

Very good friendly staff but a little annoying that you have gone cashless as I prefer to pay cash and not have to keep using a card to pay

Thank you so much to Claire and the team. This was my first stay back at the Ibis, on my first trip back to Barnsley, after I lost my husband in October last year. Everyone was so lovely and welcoming, and it was a relief to have the room I requested (our 'usual' room), which helped me to feel 'safe'. It's not easy to navigate life after such a devastating bereavement, so Thank You to Claire and the team for helping to make another 'first step' so much easier.

Extremely good staff who took the time to engage with us. I had booked the wrong weekend but this was addressed efficiently and professionally. Also no hairdryer in the room which was also swiftly resolved. The room was well appointed only criticism would be a constant drone which sounded like some kind of pump above the room (were on top floor) and road noise from close by M1 (unavoidable). Breakfast was nice and later checkout was great compared to other hotels.
