Let's get straight to the issues. I was not staying at the hotel for leisure; I was attending a business conference. 1. Lack of flexibility: I arrived at the hotel at 12:30 p.m. and was informed that check-in would only be available from 4:00 p.m. I asked whether an earlier room could be arranged, but my request was denied. I explained that I am an Accor (ALL) Gold member and believed I was entitled to early check-in when available. The receptionist told me that because I had not booked using the ALL plataform, I was not eligible. 2. I was given an occupied room: At 4:00 p.m., I went to the room I had been assigned and opened the door, only to find another guest inside wearing nothing but his underwear. I immediately apologized and left. I returned to the front desk, waited in line again, and was simply assigned a different room. No one even apologized for what was a very serious mistake. 3. The room was still not ready: When I finally reached the new room, the housekeeping staff arrived at the same time to clean it. I had to wait until approximately 4:45 p.m. before I could actually use the room. Ironically, the hotel could not release a room even a few minutes before the official check-in time, yet it was unable to have the room ready at the promised time. 4. Poor room maintenance: After turning on the air conditioning, the air vent louvers vibrated loudly, creating an annoying rattling noise. I ended up using clothes hangers to secure the louvers together just to make the room quiet enough. 5. No razor available: I had forgotten my razor, so I went to the front desk expecting to buy a disposable one. To my surprise, I was told the hotel did not have any available. It is difficult to understand how a hotel of this category does not offer such a basic amenity. I leave with the certainty that I will not be returning. This experience fell far below the standards I expect from a luxury hotel.

One very good point of the Itu Novotel is the wellness team )Tia Brisa. She is a very good and committed professional. Her class is very good. There is a room with bikes but only 2 classes on a Saturday when the hotel was fully booked. There could be at least 4 classes.

I requested the invoice while checking out and was informed that it would be sent by email, I got in contact 2 times already with the reservation team and one week later I still haven't received it. I don't have even words to express how frustrating this is since I need this document to get the reimbursement from my company, despite the fact that it's ilegal by law in Brazil to fail to provide the invoice. Definitely a terrible hotel for business events due to the lack of organization.

Very brief stay to shower and get changed after a long international flight. Unfortunately, I never received my hotel bill via email as promised. Also, I had no hot water for my shower. Lastly, the dining room was not open when I was there between 10 and 12. The price was very high for what I needed.

Staff could be better trained to improve experience. In the check-in I did not get any upgrade with the gold member status. (that's ok, I know that if is available). I've noticed that some other guests got upgraded. The zipline employee asked to the children to get out of the line to be checked. After they came another person came and said that their children were about to go to the zipline, employee just let them go. That got us really annoyed (bad training). We asked for late check-out availability and the person answered that was not available before checking availability and membership then said it was available (more bad training). The stay could be better. Situations could be better handled. Not planning to come back.

We love the hotel, 3rd time going with our kids. The pools are great, the rooms are amazing. However the food this time was really bad. For the first time we didn’t have a good experience with the food, and it makes the trip!

I have been staying Novotal Itu since 2023. It was great resort and the restaurant was very nice with delicious local food. The room was good and clean. The only thing made me to give score of 8 was the some front desk staff don't speak English, which made the check-in experience more difficult. For example, this time when I checked in, I was charged with an incorrect charge. But because the staff I was dealing with did not understand English, the incorrect charge was made to my Credit Card. Although it was refunded with some help when I checked out (but I did not receive the receipt), the experience was stressful and hopeless.

As always, food, staff, and facilities are the hotel's strong points, however, we had a series of maintenance problems. In our first room, the safe didn't work, the bed was extremely hard, the toilet was leaking, and then the toilet valve stopped working. The staff managed to move us to another room quickly, but in the new room, the door didn't close properly, the lock was jamming, the blackout curtains were torn, and there was a leak from the shower stall into the room (since it was only two nights, we put towels there so we wouldn't have to change rooms again). This was the 6th time we've stayed at the hotel, the last time being about a year ago, so it's important to note that for the expected level and compared to competitors, maintenance is an important point today.

The hotel has great location, food, bedrooms and overall structure. But the communication was pretty poor, i’ll give a few examples: . Sport activities were scheduled then changed with no warning . We were informed one of the activities was supposed to start at 11am then it changed to 2pm. . As activities were always changing they also weren’t properly communicated so the amount of people taking part in them was very low and that was used as a reason to cancel an activity. The kids team was amazing and my daughter loved them, but the sports for adults was very limited even though there were courts for all sorts of activities. There should be at least one class per sport a day (beach tennis, tennis, soccer, etc), that way people will feel encouraged to go. One highlight was the spinning class, that was really great and in a great ambiance so congrats on that.

Espetacular place, very good food, very good staff. The staff on the restaurants are outstanding!!! Very impressed with the way they work. Seems like an artist playing a master peace, Improvement points: Reception needs to be more friendly. They are almost rude when asked for anything. Even on checkin on checkout. The room that stayed had a very bad smell coming from the bathroom drain. It must to be checked. The couple that were with us in another room made the same complaint. Overall, it was an amazing experience. We just lived and don’t se the time to be back. Best and happy new year!

We had a very pleasant experience during our stay at the Novotel. The hotel is pet-friendly, and so they allowed access to all areas of the hotel except for the inside of the restaurant. I enjoyed the activities that they offered such as spinning and yoga classes. The instructors were fantastic. The meals were delicious. They served different dishes each day and on Sunday they served barbecue.
