We love the hotel, 3rd time going with our kids. The pools are great, the rooms are amazing. However the food this time was really bad. For the first time we didn’t have a good experience with the food, and it makes the trip!

I have been staying Novotal Itu since 2023. It was great resort and the restaurant was very nice with delicious local food. The room was good and clean. The only thing made me to give score of 8 was the some front desk staff don't speak English, which made the check-in experience more difficult. For example, this time when I checked in, I was charged with an incorrect charge. But because the staff I was dealing with did not understand English, the incorrect charge was made to my Credit Card. Although it was refunded with some help when I checked out (but I did not receive the receipt), the experience was stressful and hopeless.

As always, food, staff, and facilities are the hotel's strong points, however, we had a series of maintenance problems. In our first room, the safe didn't work, the bed was extremely hard, the toilet was leaking, and then the toilet valve stopped working. The staff managed to move us to another room quickly, but in the new room, the door didn't close properly, the lock was jamming, the blackout curtains were torn, and there was a leak from the shower stall into the room (since it was only two nights, we put towels there so we wouldn't have to change rooms again). This was the 6th time we've stayed at the hotel, the last time being about a year ago, so it's important to note that for the expected level and compared to competitors, maintenance is an important point today.
