This was my 45th night at Novotel this year, I have gold status and this was the worst stay in a Novotel.

I will be sending a separate note to the hotel and to Accor as this service did not meet my expectations. My name is Stephen Marks and the reservation was under my name, not Pamela. 1. I have priority gold status and the hotel put someone in front of me in the priority check in line. Total time to check in 15 minutes. 2. The phone and the TV did not work in my room. 3. We had to call the front desk using our cell phone and in one occasion, we called 5 separate times before somebody answered. 4. I wanted to breakfast in the bed, since the phone didn't work, I had to go downstairs and get the plates myself and had to carry up without any assistance from the hotel. 5. Check out time, same line problem. This time it took 9 minutes before I received service. 6. When I did receive service, nobody asked how my stay was. All they did was ask for my room number and told me that I had to pay R300 for the restaurant charges. That was it, no comments, no questions, no priority service. Terrible experience and very poor staff.

I’ve stayed at the hotel a few times before and the experience was always great! However this time we faced a few issues: reception was very kind but seemed unprepared, the rooms corridor had a strange smell, our smart TV didn’t connect to the internet (we tried relocating 3 times to other rooms, but neither worked) and there was a power shortage for approx. 2 hours. I believe the pandemic may have had some impact and that’s understandable, but I still would like to give this feedback so the hotel can work on these improvements and go back to what it was. I would like to highlight the restaurant, we had a few meals there before and during this stay, and it’s always excellent!

After I checked in I noticed one of the maids cleaning the room next to mine with her mask on her chin. That made me very concerned about my safety during my stay. The TV wasn't working, so I had to change rooms late at night after working all day and being very tired. The breakfast came with rotten melons, cold eggs and cold coffee.

It was really uncomfortable to realize that your Coronavirus advertising is not the same applied at the hotel. We got really concerned and upset with our latest experience. The employes should have taken actions against guests whose refused to wear a mask inside the hotel but that doesn't happened. So we wouldn't come back in a middle of a pandemic again.

Quiet hotel, fairly new, and good breakfast. Near the mall and other stores. Air conditioning is nice and rooms have refrigerators. The staff is very nice and helpful. Electrical outlets are 220 volts, not 110, so you may want to have a voltage adapter. Showers are nice and spacious.

Convenient location to mall, restaurants, grocery store and interstate. Property was well maintained and staff very polite, helpful and multi lingual. Room could use a little maintenance but was suitable for a weekend stay. Food service was fantastic and quality of breakfast was very nice.

the reception left a lot to be desired, the attendants both at night and in the morning, could be more polite, do not say good night, good day and not good afternoon, and are not at all friendly at the time of check out and check in.
