We stayed for one night in room 505 at the Mercure Düsseldorf Zentrum. The room featured two single beds with firm mattresses and comfortable pillows. It was relatively quiet during the night, allowing us to sleep well. The room had carpeted flooring and standard coffee and tea amenities were provided. Additionally, the WiFi connection was both strong and stable. However, there were some stains and smudges that the housekeeping staff should have removed. There were also several clearly visible signs of damage, such as a peeling baseboard and paint falling off the wall. The bathroom was compact but functional; unfortunately, the shampoo and soap dispensers were completely empty, forcing us to ask the receptionist for replacements. Housekeeping should always ensure a room is fully ready before new guests arrive, as soap and shampoo are basic essentials. Furthermore, a wall ventilator in the bathroom kept running even after we switched off the light, which was quite annoying and should be fixed by maintenance. The next day before checking out, we enjoyed our Accor Live Limitless welcome drinks (two bottled beers) at the ground-floor bar, which looked clean and well-maintained. In summary, this is a decent Mercure property, and we would consider staying here again for another short night-stay depending on the price.
