We chose the Ibis Dusseldorf because of its location and it was what we expected.

Nauseous sewage smell everywhere! Don't even think to go to this hotel!

The Hotel have a sewage problem for sometime but they don't mention this on their website or any other booking tool. The smell is disgusting, you need to cover your nose to walk the corridors. The hotel blame the train station and refuse refunds then you pay to smell shi... and they continue working like nothing happens.....there is several reviews on google maps or booking website and other places too, many people complain but the hotel managers are certainly more worried about their numbers than to offer a good and honest service!

Location within the Hauptbahnhof could not be better. Reception staff were friendly and efficient at all hours. Room was not warm enough (it was very cold weather), and adjusting the controls did not seem to make any difference. Electrical sockets were not that conveniently placed. Toilet flush was rather weak.

Hotel located inside the main central station which is very convenient. The rooms are very basic and dated but for just a night stay, there is nothing much to complain about. Price was also very reasonable. Front service staff could be friendlier.
