We had a great stay! We decided last minute to stay near the airport because we had to come from Amsterdam. The hotel feels very new and clean. Staff is friendly. Garage under the hotel is very ideal, you can park here during your holiday as well. Breakfast took place at the Novotel which was very extensive and fresh. Would come back!

I booked on-line at short notice due to a cancelled flight. Unfortunately I made the mistake of booking for next Friday not last Friday as this was the default setting and lost 70€ as it was not refundable at the time. My advice, don’t use a mobile phone to book an IBIS hotel if you have poor eyesight or are under pressure to do it quickly. However once resolved with a new booking the hotel was reasonably comfortable, well located for Düsseldorf airport, but not for the city itself unless you have a car and the selection of eateries is limited to the Novotel next door. However, I definitely recommend the restaurant for both dinner with cute robot waiters and good value and tasty food of a typical Herman standard. Sleep was good if it wasn’t for a 3am fire alarm that left us in the drizzle for 20 minutes, but they opened up the restaurant for us. Overall, the experience was relatively good and I took a 29 minute healthy stroll to return to the airport the following morning.
