Prior to our visit I had some questions which were answered quick and very efficiently. When we arrived at the hotel the male receptionist was very helpful and welcoming, we confirmed the time for breakfast and arrived within the time period one whole hour before close, unfortunately the food was being put away and when my friend asked for some food he was rudely told they were closing, everything seemed too much effort (I understand it was a holiday but that’s not what we paid for !) this is not what we were told when we arrived, the choice was nowhere near the choice or standard at our previous stay in the Novotel in Barcelona, a very disappointing start to our day. I must commend the female chef the following day who worked hard to ensure all food was stocked and presented well a far cry from the day before ! When I came to question my bill I was asked what my problem was ??? And spoken to rudely and in what I found a condescending manner when I asked about the difference in our bill as my husband had paid it and come back to me to show me receipt , it was an error on my part as I hadn’t read all the small print about local taxes for children . When asked why we had paid the full amount as money had been taken out of my account the day prior to our stay , which was one of my emails to the hotel that was dealt with efficiently, telling me that I had a choice to pay the full amount on a different card or pay the remainder …. The lady on reception told me that she had instigated a refund and the the money would be back in my account, I was terribly disappointed in the tone and attitude in which I was spoken , which is an incredible shame as the hotel room was fantastic.

According to my official booking confirmation, the total price was EUR 594.33, including all taxes and fees. Of this amount, EUR 534.33 had already been paid in advance, leaving a remaining balance of EUR 60.00, which, according to the confirmation, was to be paid at the hotel. However, at check-in, I was charged EUR 120.00. I was told that this was due to a so-called “domestic rate.” This additional charge is not consistent with the price confirmed in my Accor booking and represents a EUR 60.00 overpayment.

The hotel was nice and well located right next to a Mall (walking distance). The only issue was that the A/C unit in my room did not work well and were not able to fix it until the next day but I was leaving that following morning so I did not get a chance of seeing it fix and feeling the cold a/c I needed the night before. Other than that, good hotel, nice staff!

The hotel was clean and welcoming. Breakfast is great. There is a bus stop situated right outside the hotel which made travelling around the city excellent. You can also buy tickets for bus and metro from the hotel reception which is a great help. However the AC in our room wasn't working. They did ultimately half way through our stay switch us to another room. Despite Rome being in the middle of a heat wave, they only provide guest with one bottle despite there being 4 members in the family. There was a powercut in the middle of the night, when I called down to ask what was going, i found the staff weren't very reassuring. A very uncomfortable night, with no ac or water given.

The lady that worked at the reception was very rude. She got into an unnecessary argument with us and she was very dismissive in general. She acted like she was doing us a favor by giving us a room that we already paid for. The rooms itself were not very clean. The desk area was particularly dirty and in general the beds and the bathroom did not feel very well cleaned

This hotel is more of an old fashioned youth hostel from the 70's. There is nothing that this hotel does well. Poorly maintained, cheap furnishings. Really poor excuse for a hotel.

Room smaller than expected for 4 people. The hotel's website and ap page advertised services that were in reality not available (like video games not available for children despite what their web page says, or an airport shuttle). Children area very small and only targetting very young children. Restaurant food was below expectations especially considering the price. Very distant from city center so only practical if you rent a car. Some staff at reception not professional, taking personal discussions and gestures in front of guests. Breakfast was good and diversified so we liked it. Water was provided daily in the fridge which was a plus. Bar & restaurant staff professional.

The hotel was a little far out from the center but we knew this already. Everything was as you’d expect it to be but the stay was transformed after we met Emmanuel who took care of the bar. He was an incredible host who was super attentive and went considerably over and above to ensure we had a great time. I would go as far as saying he made our stay in Rome from being a good time to a great time.
