Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing. We booked two rooms, and both bathrooms had the same problem: the shower drains were not working properly, causing water to overflow onto the bathroom floor whenever we took a shower. This made the bathroom extremely slippery and potentially dangerous. It was especially frustrating that the same issue occurred in both rooms, which suggests that this is not just an isolated problem. The toilet also has a problem. After you flush, it keeps leaking water. Also, the air conditioning is very weak but luckily they were willing to give us a fan in this super hot weather. For the price we paid, we expected a much better standard of quality and maintenance. Definitely not worth the price given.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but unfortunately the hotel itself is very old and outdated. I would rate it closer to a 2-star standard. The room I received was apparently the best available according to the staff, but there was almost no air conditioning. The bathroom also had a water leak and an unpleasant smell. Overall, the quality was even lower than I would expect from an ibis budget hotel. Very disappointing.

I had a very pleaseant experiance in the Mercure St. John Rome. The service at the front desk by Emmanuele was abosultely fantastic - over the days we had seveal issues with not a really good housekeeping and he qucikly and efficiently solved it. Also he organised a really good room upgrade being a long term Diamond member Grat hotel and good job

This hotel is clean and nicely located in the center of Rome within a walking distance to Colossum and many other sites worth visiting. Within 5 min walk to public transportation and plenty of restaurants in the area. Rooms are tiny and the single beds are very tiny.

Your hotel needs to work on air conditioning. My room was hot and AC was not working at all. I complained several times. But staff was very unhelpful. I asked to change my room and they simply said that we don't have any rooms available.

Ali was extremely helpful and energetic. Breakfast was disappointing. Toilet in 1 of our 3 rooms was so badly positioned it was difficult to use with doing some acrobatics. Shower was claustrophobic. John the barista made a great macchiato.

It was my first visit to Rome and the booking team was very nice to offer me an update to suite, which I am very grateful of. I was satisfied with the experience except for the room service. 1. Our four dirty used mugs stayed on the table until day 3, where I had to call room service to have them taken away and replaced. 2. Our cafe capsules were not refilled until the day 3 after we asked for them 3. There were many hairs on the bathroom floor and in the bathtub even after cleaning

Overnight stop over in Rome. They upgraded our room to a Jnr suite which was spacious. There was a bath & seperate shower. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful (stored bags, offered water in extreme heat, Allowed us to use bathrooms to change for airport)
