See above. Not much to add to a local judgement error, note resulting in a much lower rating than before. Feel sorry for your highly professional and friendly staff at both reception and breakfast that -once again- performed excellently. Housekeeping on the other hand had left balcony door open in freezing cold weather and I also suspect that a very small amount (coins) was taken from where I usually leave my excess change.. (Therefore no tip this time) So, if nothing else, this suspicion just added to the very unfortunate general experience this time and especially during the limited gold status provided to me by Accor. pls also note the amount of visits over many years when considering and evaluating your performance leading to the overall drop in my CX and trust in the Mercure brand.

According to our documentation for your stay, a personal welcome letter and a gift were prepared for you in your room. We are very sorry if these gestures were not apparent upon your arrival or did not meet your expectations. We take your comments about room service very seriously. Leaving the balcony door open in the current temperatures is by no means our standard practice. However, we are even more concerned about your suspicion regarding the missing change. We will investigate this incident internally immediately to ensure the usual security and trustworthiness in our hotel. As a long-standing guest and ALL member, your loyalty is of great value to us. January 4-Day Stay Experience

Staying here four days this January, my absolute favorite part was the breakfast spread and bar. Staff is lovely, polite and professional. The breakfast was amazing, as I ate here each morning. The room was great, quiet halls, and very clean as the rest of hotel is. The location is good, being so close to many food venues and the train. The atmosphere is chic, boutique feel. The minor issues I had: my complementary glass water bottle had a broken seal as though someone had drank from it? Cleaning services were okay, they did not remove used towels. Rooms do not come with conditioner or bar soap, which is strange, since they come with shampoo and body wash. One of their policies I criticized was if you purchase light breakfast (€8 for self-serve coffee +3 croissants), you cannot pay the difference upgrade to the €25 full open buffet, you have to pay the entire €25. This makes no sense, because the coffee and croissants are part of the buffet already. I suppose they would rather lose €17 profit than accommodate for those who decide to upgrade their meal. All in all, I would stay here again. But those little attention to detail are the difference from 4 and 5 stars ⭐️

Please note that towels will only be changed if they are left on the floor. You will also find a note to this effect in the bathroom. Regarding amenities, we provide shampoo and body wash as part of our sustainability efforts.
