Location is great, Stuff was helpful. Beds and pillows are poor and really not comfortable with tiny blankets. Overall the rooms fill outdated and very scary design with a big staring lady picture

A very very poor way to encourage customer loyalty

I had been happy with my stays at Mercure Wittenbergplatz, a hotel I'd used for a number of business trips. But it's funny how my loyalty has NOT been rewarded when I needed to move or cancel a booking that I had mistakenly not booked with the "flexi" feature. Despite explaining in detail why I needed to make a change and how I'll be making a number of trips next year and happy to continue to use their hotel, my request was rejected and in a very clumsy/automated style of reply. So guess my loyalty isn't valued and let's face it there is not a shortage of hotels in Berlin. Very shortsighted and poor customer service.

My friends and I very much enjoyed our stay at Mercure Hotel Berlin Wittenbergplatz and would like to say how welcoming, friendly and helpful all of the staff were. In particular I would like to thank Sabine and the barman (I think he is Vietnamese, but unfortunately don't remember his name) who we had most contact with who were exceptional. The hotel is very comfortable and in a great location, and although the twin bedroom did feel smaller than I was expecting the shower was superb - amazing high pressure! Overall the breakfast was very good with a superb choice. However I do think the temperature of the hot milk in the WMF coffee machine seems to be too high (Cafe Capuccino at the bar was much better) and the French pastries were disappointing. (Rather solid, rather than light & fluffy) Nevertheless we all enjoyed breakfast and the fresh fruit & vegetable juicing machine is an excellent bonus

Cleaning should be double checked. Found someones‘s tea behind the curtain and there was no water but the card said ‚enjoy the water‘. Otherwise - perfect. Friendly receptionists.
