The Staff was EXCELLENT. Every member was friendly knowledgeable, sense of humor, great recommendations. Lucas and Matheo was wonderful with checking in, directions and dinner reservations. Matheo even coached our son on how to get into a club. I don’t recall his name but the bartender who was there each night was excellent also.

Several basic functions in a suite not functioning; blackout window blinds, outlets out, light fixtures not working, shower wand, air conditioning….

Many positives - the staff was courteous, the cocktails excellent. The bad, the room is dark, oppressive and very worn (stains, sliding doors difficult to use, etc). Lighting was mostly non-existent in the anteroom of the suite (rm 324) was not operated by a wall switch. One of the lamps had no switch at all - I had to unscrew the bulb to turn it off! Staff claimed this was "cozy". I must disagree (really unscrewing the lightbulb, cozy?). There is a desk in that room that I attempted to use to work, but without light, it is basically useless, even in the middle of the day. At night, impossible. I have a cpap for sleep respiration. Took me several attempts to figure out how to plug it in and turn the room lights off without turning off the cpap (which is a health concern). I have stayed at several SO/ locations (e.g. Paris, Vienna) and this was not even remotely close. I had booked this without hesitation when I saw a SO/ was available in Berlin. It now seems that the brand integrity is no what I had thought. My wife will no longer let me book rooms for our travels due to this experience. Sadly, I am now going to hear about this from her for years to come.

Everything was wonderful, the only comment I have is that the room was too hot. I turned off the heating but it was impossible to cool it down. I also opened the windows and it worked while they were open but again it got too hot. The pillows were not comfortable but I suffer from back pain and there were strange stains in the bathroom.
