the minimum you would anticipate from 5 star hotel is to have a good Air condition system we came After the heat wave and could hardly sleep since the room was HOT ( i wonder what would have happened if we would be there during the heat wave. spoke to the reception staff - they admit that the A/C is not good stating that the hotel chain do not want to invest half million euro needed to solve this! so the solution was old time noisy fan that was brought to the room

We had a lovely three-night stay at Das Stue. It happened to coincide with Berlin’s recent heat wave. While facing 40-degree temperatures, the DS team helped keep us cool and comfortable with reliable air conditioning, the spa pool, and providing water bottles, ice creams, and sunscreen in the lobby. The hotel bed was super comfortable, and the rooms were well-appointed. Upon arrival, we asked where we could go to catch the Germany World Cup match, and were directed to a really lovely Biergarten around the corner in the beautiful Tiergarten (winding my way through this park was a highlight of our trip). We’d happily stay here again.

Dear Eric P., Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m truly sorry that your stay didn’t feel like the 5‑star experience you expected. None of you mentioned should ever happen. We do have air conditioning throughout the hotel, but the recent heatwave with temperatures over 40 degrees pushed the system to its limits and made cooling much more challenging than usual. That’s an explanation, not an excuse, and we are very sorry this affected your comfort. Your stay should have been a 10/10.
