It was my first time at Pullman and it met the expectations. The room is very good though not outstanding, but the facilities are great. Swimming pool is large, the gym is comfortable, breakfast is rich, i especially appreciated the sitting corner that is provided at each floor.

Carlos checked us in quickly, rooms on 8th floor very quiet, beds very comfortable, Housekeeping very efficient. Breakfast is definitely one of the best in Germany, even better than Marriott. We also had one dinner and it was great. Quick check-out. After more than 20 years, this is still one of the best hotels in Berlin. This was i think my 16th or more time at the hotel and, albeit other hotels offer better location or are in vicinity of public transportation, it's still my best choice. Another plus is the staff. The negative side is that it shows its age. It was a Sofitel the first time I was there. Then it became a Pullmann. During all these years, only the mattresses have been changed. I guess it's time for a "freshen up". I missed a Nespresso coffee machine in the room.

Disappointing housekeeping & average breakfast

Housekeeping was quite disappointing for a 5 star. Not clearing used coffee mugs and wet towels. Breakfast was very avg. Cramped and nothing stood out. Room was showing signs of age though comfortable.

Overall, the stay at Pullman was alright, but I would advise the management to make sure that guests who are checking in (experiencing their first impression of the Hotel) try to instill in the staff at the reception that being friendly to customers is a good idea. I was greeted by the first staff member who immediately told me: “Vor dem Hotel ist aber absolutes Halteverbot.” I then asked if someone could help me with my bags in front of the Hotel, to which I received the answer: “Nein, tut mir leid, derjenige ist heute leider krank.” I could not believe that a staff member at a well known, reputable 5 star Hotel was treating me this way. My stay in Berlin, got off to a terrible start. All the receptionist needed to do was be friendly, not aggressive, then the entire check in experience would have been much smoother. I booked a Delux Suite, but was given room number 519. I can assure you, that room did not feel like a Delux Suite. It was more like two single bedrooms that had been opened up. That said, I do believe the Hotel realized that we were not happy and therefore upgraded us to the Presidential Suite for the last three nights. That room is worthy of its name. It is spacious and the views are spectacular. Thank you to the Hotel for doing that! I was also very pleased to see that the Hotel gave us the breakfast for half the standard price during my entire stay. They also enabled me to park in their garage for half the usual price. Again, I’m very grateful for that. In short, if it had not been for the terrible way I was greeted at the reception, my overall rating would have been higher.

Christmas City Break to Berlin with 6 Year Old Daughter, Out stay in the Berlin Pullman was excellent. The room was clean comfortable and had enough room for all three of us. The Swimming pool was a big attraction for our daughter who loves swimming and made for a nice relaxing wind down to the day after walking the length and breath of Berlin! This is our second stay and we highly recommend! We will be back again
