Disappointing Stay for an Accor Loyalty Member – Poor Service, No A/C & Hazardous for Toddlers ​As a loyal member of the Accor Group, I frequently choose Accor properties because I expect a reliable standard of hospitality and comfort. Unfortunately, our recent stay at the Adagio Berlin Kurfürstendamm from May 25th to May 29th was incredibly frustrating and fell far short of what a loyal guest should experience. Traveling as a family with a young baby, the lack of basic amenities, proper climate control, and severe safety hazards made our stay highly uncomfortable and stressful. ​1. The Biggest Issue: Broken Air Conditioning ​The climate control in our room was a complete failure. The apartment was uncomfortably hot, which is especially dangerous and exhausting when traveling with an infant. When we raised this issue with the front desk, we were told the staff was "working on a fix." It was never resolved during our 4-day stay. Instead of a proper fix or room change, we were simply handed a basic ventilator (fan), which did little to cool down a sealed room. ​2. NOT Family-Friendly: Major Safety Hazards for Toddlers ​The hotel explicitly markets itself as a family-friendly property, but the room design tells a completely different story. Nearly all the furniture—including the chairs, the dining table, and the bed frame—is made from metal profiles with sharp, exposed corners. This created an incredibly hazardous environment for a crawling toddler. Instead of relaxing, we spent our entire vacation constantly on edge, trying to block off sharp metal edges to prevent our baby from getting seriously hurt. ​3. Excessive "Nickel-and-Diming" and Rationed Consumables ​While I understand that aparthotels operate differently than traditional hotels, the extreme restrictions on basic daily necessities felt incredibly cheap for an Accor property: ​Severe Shortage of Daily Essentials: The quantities of basic toiletries provided were laughably small. We were left with barely enough shampoo, hand wash soap, and dishwashing kitchen soap for a 4-day stay. ​The Coffee Ration: We were provided with exactly four espresso capsules upon arrival. For the remaining days, we were told we had to purchase any additional capsules separately. ​Housekeeping and Towel Restrictions: No apartment cleaning service is provided unless you stay for longer than a week (otherwise you must pay extra). If you need additional towels, tissues, or toilet paper to replace the tiny amounts provided, you have to physically go down to the reception desk to ask for them. Even then, some items are strictly limited in quantity, while others come with an extra price tag. Accor needs to seriously review this property's "family" claims and standard of service. Loyalty should mean better care, but here it felt entirely unappreciated. I will absolutely avoid Adagio properties in the future.

Loved that we could safely store our luggage prior to check in, that there was a selection of additional appliances we could take to our room - in our case a toaster - and were always friendly people at the desk to help with questions. It was also appreciated that we had the choice of twin or double bed

The vast majority of hotels I stay at, like you, also have a login function for guest Wi‑Fi. However, this is the first time I have had to go through the exact same check-in process as with you – and even several times a day. It is irritating, simply because you have left the premises or turned off your device. When others are able to ensure that you remain logged in for the duration of your stay and only log out upon departure, you should be able to do the same.
