Adagio apartments are a great base to explore the coast. Highly recommend!

The property itself has a good location, beautiful views, and comfortable rooms. Unfortunately, the overall customer experience was disappointing, particularly due to the check-in process and the lack of a welcoming interaction with the staff. We had informed the hotel in advance about our arrival at noon and also followed up several times. However, upon arrival at noon, we were told that our room was not ready and that check-in would only be possible at 3:00 PM. While waiting near the reception, we repeatedly checked whether the room was ready, but we were simply asked to wait until 3:00 PM. A family arrived around 2:50 PM and their check-in was started, despite other families already waiting in the lobby. Each check-in appeared to take around 30 minutes, with various issues along the way. We ultimately had to wait for almost 30 minutes to complete our own check-in and receive our room. There was also no apparent consideration given to our Gold Member status. The handling of the deposit was another disappointing experience. We were asked to provide the €200 deposit in cash rather than being allowed to use our Amex card. We provided four €50 notes. However, at checkout, we were given a single €200 note. When we requested smaller denominations, we were simply told that this was the only option available. We were also given considerable emphasis during check-in on the requirement to remove all garbage and clean the utensils before checkout; otherwise, the deposit would not be returned. While we understand the property’s requirements, placing so much emphasis on this immediately upon check-in felt rather inappropriate and did not create a welcoming first impression. It also raises the question of why, when guests are required to check out by 11:00 AM with the garbage removed and utensils cleaned, rooms cannot be prepared for incoming guests before 3:00 PM. The room was advertised for four people, but the sofa-cum-bed was not comfortable for two people. The backrest cannot be removed or properly adjusted, which makes the sofa uncomfortable for sleeping. For a room intended to accommodate four guests, we expected the sleeping arrangement to be more comfortable and practical. Overall, the property has several positives, including its location, views, and comfortable accommodation. However, the poor check-in experience, limited interaction with the team, and lack of a friendly and accommodating approach significantly affected our stay.

Very disappointed in our experience at Aparthotel, the apartment looked nothing like the photos, it looked very run down, there were holes in some of the doors, the lock on the front door to the apartment was loose, the seat on the chairs on the balcony were ripped and broken. There was a drip coffee machine but nothing was supplied to make it, if you wanted a coffee you would have to buy some ground coffee, milk etc. from the supermarket. The staff weren’t particularly friendly, one was quite rude to be honest. We also ordered a taxi at reception to be picked up and taken to the airport, and they ordered us some kind of private car service that cost 45 Euro for a 10min car ride. We were told by the staff on arrival that if we wanted to go up onto the terrace, we would have to somehow keep the door open as it is self locking and we would be stuck. The whole hotel was rundown overall, not what you expect when you pay this kind of money.

Good location, beach across street and tram out back door. Hotel is very dated. Peeling paint in bathroom. No guidance on how to use blinds etc in room. Also the washing machine area was pretty dirty.

Everything was absolutely perfect! The bed and pillows were among the most comfortable I have ever experienced, making it easy to enjoy a great night's sleep. The rooms are very well soundproofed, so it is remarkably quiet and relaxing. I stayed in a spacious Studio with City View, which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The large terrace was a fantastic bonus, and the air conditioning worked perfectly throughout my stay. Another nice touch is that you can borrow an espresso machine from the reception. There is also a Carrefour supermarket nearby, which is very convenient for groceries and daily essentials. A special mention goes to the two gentlemen at the reception. They were absolutely wonderful, extremely helpful, professional, and genuinely dedicated to making guests feel welcome. They provided excellent guidance and recommendations throughout my stay. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

On Accor's App, only a few select photos of the hotel are shown, which gave a false hope. However, the reality is the polar opposite. The room is dated, with dirt in every possible corner of the room. The dishwasher is dirty as dirty can be and there is another sprise waiting--- no drape in the room. You wake up when the S. rises. How Accor could get this property rated as a four star hotel is beyond my comprehension.

Hi Melanie, I had filled this in on our return but obviously it didn't send. As mentioned to you the rusty chairs on the balcony were unusable and the patio table unsuitable for four persons. The strip of brown material hanging beside balcony doors is an eyesore and should be removed as it serves no purpose, just making the room look dated and shabby.

Nice view from balcony but quite far from Old Town. Used the trams alot to get around.

Staff, very friendly and helpful

Walked into check in to find reception empty. I went looking around and found a lady moving rubbish bins around. I asked her is anyone at reception and she replied rudely “ I’ll be there when I’ve finished”! So we waited and she turned up eventually. She was from Ukraine and if that helps identify her. She never explained anything about the property ie breakfast or the room and just rude aggressive and not interested. If I was running this property she wouldn’t be working there.

Poor check-in, no Accor upgrade,late check out or recognition. A dangerous person in the foyer attacked the staff and the police were called. Although, it is a good lactation with the beach straight across the promenade.

wonderful view seaside, great location — comfortable functional - nice to have a bathtub — everything was clean, everything worked (except no stopper for the bathtub- had to ask for it downstairs and got it )

Was a great experience. will definitely recommend the hotel to others. The staff is great and the location and atmosphere at the hotel were amazing.

The room and hotel was a bit old and worn out for what I would expect from a four star rating. It felt like a 2 or 3 star. Chipped furniture, tiles and walls. The balcony blind didn’t work and flat batteries in the tv remotes. I didn’t like that we had to pay extra if we wanted a room clean or change of towels even though we stayed 5 nights. The reception staff I encountered both at check in and another time when I spoke with them were not friendly or particularly helpful, and I felt like I was bothering them. It could have been the language barrier as I don’t speak French. The location is in a lovely part of the esplanade and away from the busyness of Nice, although it is a good 40 min walk into the centre of where the shops and restaurants are located. It is advertised as a 15 minute walk which is incorrect. There is a bus that is frequent out the front which I’d recommend. I would not stay here again.

As reported to reception there was a cockroach in the room

My stay offered a comfortable room, but the overall service and hygiene standards fell short of expectations. While one receptionist was genuinely helpful, the other was notably rude and unprofessional. Communication regarding amenities—like the washing machine—was non-existent, and the absence of basic cleaning tools meant the room remained dusty. Most concerning was the restrictive towel-change policy, which only allows for one replacement during an eight-night stay; this is an outdated and unhygienic practice. Furthermore, after checking out, we realized we had accidentally left our child’s toys behind. Despite the staff having our contact information, no one reached out to inform us they had been found, and there seemed to be no effective communication between the cleaning team and the hotel’s lost-and-found department.
