Folks, I rarely leave reviews, but we genuinely felt this hotel deserved the same level of attention and care that they gave us during our stay. Over the years we’ve stayed in many hotels, including several with higher star ratings, but this Ibis scored 110% for exactly what we wanted from a city break. The rooms were spotless and serviced daily. Towels were replaced regularly and, importantly, the housekeeping team always checked that there was a toilet roll plus a spare available — something many hotels surprisingly overlook! The air conditioning was a lifesaver during the high temperatures we experienced in early July. Breakfast was excellent too, with a great selection each morning, and the advice on the quieter dining times was genuinely helpful. We also appreciated the availability of water, soft drinks, and snacks in the lobby late into the evening. Another nice touch was the range of beach essentials available to purchase in partnership with Decathlon — caps, towels, T-shirts and other useful items. Most importantly, the courtesy and friendliness of the staff really stood out, from the reception desk to the team members we met in the corridors and lifts. We’ll definitely be checking Ibis first for future city weekend trips.
