We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. While the room itself was high quality and the staff were genuinely kind, several details prevented us from fully enjoying our stay.
The room layout and amenities could be much better explained. For instance, the bottle opener is mounted to the bathroom wall with no sign or mention in the guest directory, and bath products like bath salt require a call to room service. When we called to ask about the missing opener, a staff member came to the room and asked to inspect the bathroom while I was actively taking a shower, which was quite uncomfortable and a slip in privacy standards. We also found the room slippers already unwrapped and placed by the bed upon arrival, which felt unhygienic.
Lastly, external noise from a wedding event at a nearby property kept us awake until 3:00 AM. Overall, while the hardware of the hotel is good, the lack of proactive communication and the external disturbances did not match the experience we expected.

Overall, the resort's facilities were really good. However, a few things stopped this stay from feeling like a true Sofitel experience, mainly the staff treatment.
Room / Bathtub
The bathtub had no sink or proper splash barrier next to it, so water spilled over the floor every time I used it. It's a small design detail, but it makes a big difference in a room at this price point.
Parking and buggy access (security staff)
I travelled mostly by motorcycle, so I had to ask security for a buggy from the parking area to the lobby every time. Most of the time this was fine, but on one occasion a security officer was unfriendly. When I entered the parking area, he asked where I was going. I said I was a hotel guest and needed the buggy. He told me to park at the corner instead. That spot is close to the lobby on the map, but still far in practice, since the lobby is on a different level from the parking lot. I had to explain myself about three times before he finally used his radio to ask another employee to arrange the buggy. It may be that he didn't know the hotel offers a buggy service from the motorcycle parking, but the tone and attitude made the arrival feel unwelcoming rather than helpful.
Reception (key handover and packed breakfast)
I had an early checkout and needed to leave my rental motorcycle key with the hotel so the rental provider could collect it. The staff member who took it was not friendly. He only said what was strictly necessary. When I asked about a packed breakfast for the next day, since I wouldn't have time for breakfast, he said, "Packed breakfast needs to be ordered first." I asked for the last time to order, and he only repeated the same sentence without giving a cut-off time or saying it should be ordered the day before. When everything was done and I said thank you, he didn't reply at all and just stayed silent. A simple "you're welcome" or a clear answer would have made a big difference.
Positives
The staff at the Club Mixology and the beach area were genuinely warm and professional. They show what the service level here can be. Unfortunately, they were the exception, and in most other areas I found the staff not friendly enough.
Value for money
Sofitel is a premium brand with premium prices, and I expect warm, proactive service to go with it. For what I paid, the staff treatment was not on par with the price. The facilities are good, but a luxury stay depends just as much on how guests are treated. I hope the management can work on staff training, especially for the security team and front desk, and on communication about services like the buggy and the packed breakfast ordering.

Beautiful resort, really loved the room. Italian restaurant was fantastic, by far the best food there. Really good value doing the all-inclusive package, there was so much food we felt bad hardly ever being able to finish it all. Unfortunately, the others in our travelling party had some hiccups with their rooms which put a dampener on things, and then the hotel made a mistake with when our check out day was meant to be which resulted in our belongings getting taken out of our room by security whilst we were at the pool, when we weren't supposed to be checking out until the next day!! Meant the end of trip didn’t end as well as it began unfortunately :(

Check in experience and the room cleaning service were flawless, and the room was great. However when it comes to breakfast, it all went downhill fast.
From delays in finding tables, delays in setting up cutleries, lack of hospitality in general (e.g. no one was offering if we want to order coffee, or any drinks). More concerningly, there was often no plates/bowls/glass available in the buffet area.
Also we perused the juice bar quite often, and perhaps 4 times out of 6, there was no one manning the station. People were left confused and not sure what to do, who to ask, as the juice station was just empty lots of time. Almost no plates for fruit and no glass available too.
Also, how could it be guest's responsibilities to secure glasses for the juice?
Isn't the station supposed to have plenty of glasses for the juice, assuming that all juice will need to be poured into glasses after juicing? Guests were left scrambling for glasses from anywhere as the glass station there are just empty.
All in all, breakfast was disorganised, it looks like Sofitel is not prepared to host breakfast guests at breakfast time?
I saw plenty of other guests needing to stand with their food plates on their hands, because staff were unable to secure chairs for them (this is on multiple days, happened to multiple people). Also stumbled upon a gentleman complaining something similar. He acknowledged that you guys are busy, but he said that you still need to be able to service your guests.
I think that sums it up properly, I completely understand that breakfast can be extremely busy, particularly at a large resort, but the level of service and organisation should still be consistent with what guests would expect from a 5-star property. The repeated lack of basic items, unattended stations and difficulty finding tables/chairs made breakfast unnecessarily frustrating and left me wondering why the operation seemed so unprepared to serve guests during peak breakfast times.

Terrible. Am still waiting for my Accor points for the food and beverage paid for during my stay. Zero staff at the hotel had any idea or care for any other Accor membership other than the new plus program. So they put right refused to put my gold membership against my food and beverage spend as it did not change the price. Give me my points. Else what is the point in constantly stay with this chain.
