The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient, and the room was very comfortable and well appointed. The food in the restaurant was a bit hit and miss ie some of it was tasty and some definitely not. My mother said the croissants were stale at breakfast. The only other thing was because we had an early flight (6am) the airport shuttle only left just after 5am. At the airport there was chaos because there were 2 flights at 6am and we were worried we might miss our flight. An earlier shuttle at 4.30 or so might be more prudent/useful.

The check-in was quick and easy, the facilities were high quality and the service was of a good standard. There is ample and safe parking. The property is a good base from which the local area and attractions. If air travel was part of my trip, it is very close to the airport terminal.

Efficient and friendly staff, room adequate, clean and tidy. minibar fridge ws a bit noise and clunked occasionally during the night and TV remote intermittently didn't work.

I have stayed at the Mercure Newcastle a number of times for business. It is always a total pleasure. The rooms are always spotless, the staff are always incredibly friendly and accommodating. We had a guest with us this time and I asked for a double room so my daughter could share a bed with me and our friend could have her own bed, rather than get stuck in the roll away. Instead staff kindly upgraded us to the family room which meant everyone had their own bed and it was just such a lovely experience. I wish we had been staying another night to take real advantage of it!!!

I had a 3 night stay and found it very convenient to the Williamtown RAAF base. Clean & comfortable with a lovely decor. I was pleasantly surprised as to how quiet it was considering there is an airport right next to it. I would happily stay there again.

We were warmly greeted & then offered free parking, so that was nice. Room service menu was limited & expensive but what we had was nice. Disappointed though to not be able to order a coffee. Everything was above average, we would stay here again. Recent trend of no free biscuits at many places is disappointing & for the price we pay for a room a small amount of FRESH milk would be a reasonable thing to expect. There was only the one lounge chair, which is common but something we dislike. A room needs 2 comfortable chairs for guests to watch TV. The bed was comfortable but could’ve done with more pillows.
