Probably the best hotel in the Newcastle area

This is one of the nicest hotels in the Newcastle area which is why I don't mind staying that distance away from the city when staying in Newcastle. We never stay there because we are using the airport, but it's obvious fantastic for that too. The rooms are very pleasant and the food and beverage service is quite excellent. Of course I do miss the buffet breakfasts but they will be back at some stage. It would be nice to have some USB port style power outlets near the beds. I've seen these in even Ibis budgets and they are really handy in case you forget your phone chargers. It's a lovely hotel and I strongly recommend it. It's usually always good value.

Couldnt order room service as phone in room was broken!! & Couldnt have shower or wash our hands as there was NO soap in room!! So was definitely a little disapointed!

Staff could not do enough for my RFS strike team

The staff rang me on my way to the motel with the RFS strike team from Southern Tablelands pre arranging parking for 5 trucks plus one 4x4 arranged a dinner booking for 21 and a 630 breakfast before we even got there . When we arrived they met us in the car park showed us the pre arranged parking handed me all the room passes to hand out to the team The staff made us feel very welcome and could not do enough for us in our stay thank you very much Barry

This was an emergency stay for us as the Airport was closed, our rental car had to be returned & we had 2 days before our delayed flight was to take off.

The hotel is great to stay at. The restaurant has very good meals and the hotel in modern and clean. They don’t have any pay movies available though. I think if there’s ever going to be a good place to have that service it would be at an airport motel where people are passing time before their flights. It would really help to pass time as it’s not very close to other entertainment. I would stay there again if I was passing through that way.

Room was modern and nice but not enough milk in the fridge and also no blankets and only a sheet on the bed so I froze half the night

Appreciated COVID strategies in rooms and restaurant. Restaurant staff on Saturday night outstanding service. Disappointed that reception didn’t provide me with an account at checkout but was promised an email copy. This didn’t happen. Asked reception if my Accor card or credit card was needed and was advised everything was settled because details already registered. Called on Tuesday 16 March to enquire about the details of the charge against my credit card that my bank had posted to my account. Callum looked up the account and instantly recognised that the meals at the restaurant had not been given the Accor discount. He promised to credit the over payment to my credit card and send a copy of the invoice. It is now a week later- no refund and no account in my email. Disappointing, not up to Mercury’s usual standards.
