It was great stay beautiful room Maybe some cookies in room so guest can have cookie with tea or coffee after long drive or flight In the bathroom maybe put toothpaste and brush with shower gel shampoo

Staff are good but just an issue with room service in a 2day period where the room was left as is not replenished or cleaned breakfast was good but the last service was the best wish they were all the same so hope the staff can be more honest in their service like their colleges

My parents recently stayed with you and were very well looked after. They are elderly and frail and need a bit of assistance which everyone was happy to do. In the morning of their departure their taxi never showed up so the lovely lady behind reception drove them in the shuttle to the airport.

Too expensive for what what was provided

Was a convenient place to stay before I flew out of Newcastle airport the next morning. Bathroom facilities and bedding were good. I thought charging an additional $15 for overnight parking was wrong. I understand the reason for charging the public, being so close to the airport. However surely your guests should not have to pay. It was also poor that your website does not let perspective guests know about the charge. The tv/entertainment facilities were poor for the price. There was only free to air TV available, no foxtel, no streaming apps on the TV. There was the ability to 'screen mirror' my phone in order to watch streaming services. However the WiFi speed was that poor that there was a buffered delay with sound, making it frustrating to watch anything. Lastly while I understand the 2 single beds I had would have normally be used pushed together as a double, it makes for an untidy set-up. For instance having the beds like this meant that one bed covered the intended bedside power point, making it basically unusable. I know these issues seem trivial, but it is the small things that make the room worth the stay. If I had only been charged $100 -$200, the room was perfect. But for $400 plus parking it was most certainly not.

My partner and I had a lovely stay at the hotel for a few nights. However, I was unaware that to park in the hotel parking lot would cost $15 per night on top of the fee we were already paying to stay. This was unclear at the time of booking, and was automatically added to my payment at the end of my stay. Although I understand from a safety perspective, I feel it is wrong to charge customers for parking at the hotel itself, and have this not be clear until arrival at the hotel. Other than the parking fees; the stay was lovely and staff incredibly friendly

IT is centrally located. We were not going interstate but doing a quad bike ride on Stockton Beach. We just didn't want to be in a rush to get there. Room was good size, the shower looked new, love the design. Rooms were quiet, we couldn't hear any planes land or take off. Would recommend staying there, the staff were friendly. The only CON I found, was at 8.30 a cleaner came into our room to clean and remake the room while we were still there. Not sure if they Checked if we had left or not prior, check out was I believe 10am.

I had the best experience as the staff were lovely and very helpful. Room was fantastic and well appointed. Just need a pen in the room for breakfast menu would be good.

One Night in Medowie

It was only a one night stay. We had a problem when we ordered a cab that never arrived and had to change our travel mode to Newcastle. The bar being closed and no breakfast unless room service was somewhat annoying but understandable

Air con motor in this hotel can be heard on all 3 floors inside all the room I have now stayed there quite a few times while I love this hotel The air con noise is a problem

Probably the best hotel in the Newcastle area

This is one of the nicest hotels in the Newcastle area which is why I don't mind staying that distance away from the city when staying in Newcastle. We never stay there because we are using the airport, but it's obvious fantastic for that too. The rooms are very pleasant and the food and beverage service is quite excellent. Of course I do miss the buffet breakfasts but they will be back at some stage. It would be nice to have some USB port style power outlets near the beds. I've seen these in even Ibis budgets and they are really handy in case you forget your phone chargers. It's a lovely hotel and I strongly recommend it. It's usually always good value.

After a day spent in airports it was a very welcome site to finally get here... service was excellent, very quiet n clean.got in too late for dinner but had breakfast and it was excellent... will definitely be back..

Although my husband has stayed at this property before, this was the first time I have accompanied him on a business trip here. Mecure Newcastle Airport was welcoming from the moment we stepped in the front door. The service was exceptional from all the staff, including the food and beverage staff. Everything was conducted in a warm and friendly manner while remaining thoroughly professional. Our business needs were easily accommodated and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Our room was clean and bright with good natural light as well as effective block-out curtains. Given that the property sits adjacent to the airport, the sound proofing was unexpectedly efficient with our room being very quiet. Check out the Aboriginal artwork gracing the walls especially near the elevator. For our business needs, the hotel's position works very well, sitting between Newcastle and Port Stephens. Would definitely stay again.

The Mercure has become a regular stay for us. Staff make us feel at home. Close to airport, good rooms, great service. A ++. . Restaurant is regularly changing as air travel returns to the new normal. We look forward to returning.
