Mercure Newcastle Airport exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and comfortable. The quality of the restaurant food and included breakfast and coffee was excellent. The service was professional and friendly, and I liked how the staff were happy to have an informal, easy-going chat about life and general human being things.

This was a 2 night stay. I had my two Sons with me so the 3 bedded room was ideal. I did notice that we were missing amenities in the bathroom, this could be a Mercure thing; or were they forgotten? We had trouble with the casting on the TV, it simply did not work; my Sons are tech savvy and they could not get it to work. Clearly an issue there. We did notify the front desk on departure.
