Stayed due to an event in Newcastle, easy to find motel and park (paid but cheap). Small room, tiny bathroom, but all facilities included even extra tea/coffee/milk to pick up as you walk in the door. Room was quiet overnight. Check in was friendly and helpful. Not luxury but exactly what I needed and perfect for the price point. We left after a shower after the event so check out was dropping the key in the box and on our way. Convenient location with a quick drive to either the city for dinner or back to the freeway, there is no other way to describe the experience than one of the easiest and cheapest stays I have had.

The road noise was very loud because the seal around the window had perished and the vent cover was broken. The Tv remote was damaged and it was impossible to change the volume. There was something broken under the bed.

Over 30mins to check in, put in room 122 initially but you needed a key to open the room, went back to reception at least 10 people waiting to check in reception got someone to open the room with a key. Reception told me to come back later. Went back about an hour later was given another swipe card which didn’t work because the door swipe mechanism was missing eventually was moved to 119. Asked for the pillows from 122 because the ones in 119 weren’t any good, got questioned why the bed was messed up, what was I supposed to do stand around and wait for over an hour in the room that I was given???? Stayed 2 nights and room wasn’t made up on the 2nd day, therefore no re supply of milk especially considering there was only 2 x single milk capsules in the fridge. Couldn’t have my included breakfast because I didn’t realise it finished at 10am and no one told me the breakfast times. No welcome drinks available.

For the price, I cannot complain. The room was neat, the location handy, continental breakfast included. It would work great if you could not find a rental and needed a place to sleep or doing FIFO work nearby.

The hotel smelt of smoke, the rooms were very claustraphobic and the walls were dirty. There was no service in the hotel, including the wifi. Was very overwhelming and checked out within an hour of checking in. Was a terrible experience and I was very unhappy with the hotel as a latinum according member.

Emailed about price matching, replied 3-4 days after the booking. Didn't mention best price guarantee which I found on the website, supplied and was told I didn't submit it in time. It must be done within 48 hours of checking in, and told me I checked in on the 31st and submitted on the 1st ????? We'll use someone else in Canberra this coming weekend Customer service score - 0

Firstly the whole place smells gross! Bathroom had lots of black mould. Bathroom is tiny and when you shower the entire area gets wet including the toilet. Whole bathroom is about 1m square, no where to place clothes without them getting wet. Bed very average, cups and spoons for tea/coffee were dirty. We paid for breakfast but decided not to eat there due to how gross it was. Would not recommend!

It's a budget hotel so the room was fine (reminded me of a dystopian sci-fi "hab unit"). My main gripe was the stink of cigarette smoke in the hallways (due to the "do not prop open" fire door remaining propped open) and the smokers right outside my window (I did ask to be moved from my "upgraded" room but it wasn't possible). I could either have the window open to get cigarette smoke wafting in from the constant stream of smokers, or run the A/C which afforded a slightly less-strong smell of cigarette smoke. Didn't sleep well. The "buffet" breakfast consisted of cereal, toast, a bowl of fruit and some juice - didn't match the photo on the booking page at all - I took two mandarins and a glass of juice and left. There is no power outlet near the bed so don't forget your extension cable. It's one of these hotels where the smoke detectors can't tell the difference between water steam and fire smoke so you need to shower with the door closed.

The room was tiny. No storage area nor shelf in bathroom as hand basin is in bedroom. Very clean and comfortable bed. Crispy clean linen. Very good value.
