Booked to be on the beach. Got an upgrade to water views. Unfortunately the window was so dirty that we couldn’t see it. hot tub was closed with no warning. Steam room wasn’t clean. Breakfast was cold. Dinner was excellent. Not worth tracking to the end of Newcastle. Overpriced and did not deliver.

We have stayed at the hotel in the past and as a Platinum member appreciated the upgrade and gift, the restaurant service and the hotel in general. The beds were comfortable. But there were no personal touches that we usually experience from Accor membership. Room was dusty and needed a vacuum and wipe over in both the room and bathroom. Also if no bottled water provided in fridge i feel there should be another water source other than bathroom. I.e filtered water cooler etc to fill up water jug.

In the room where we stayed there was a window that was filthy. It looked like it had not been cleaned for months. I think the view looked as though it would be nice but through the dirty widow, why bother? The scrambled egg on the Tuesday morning was not worth eating. It was like plastic egg. The rest of the buffet was fine. Novotel has a much higher standard I thought.

Was rather underwhelmed by the experience for a 4.5 star hotel. First night had 4-5 moths in the room and found a used dirty toothbrush in the bathroom. Receptionist helped to change room the next day. The next room had an empty shower gel bottle and had to organise for top up. Last day was slightly better. Receptionist helped to set up a temporary workstation for me at the bistro after I checked out, I'm grateful for that.
