I was charged for room service which never appeared. When i asked for a refund I was told it would be done by the restaurant staff but no refund has been issued. The spa was out of service during my stay which was not communicated to me at the time of booking I had to walk to down the ramp level 2 car park both days of my stay because my swipe access was not working

Rude aggressive cleaning staff. Expensive room with nil cleaning or changing of towels. Dirty windowsill and stains on curtains.

The price of this accommodation is completely unjustified for what you actually receive. The room was disappointing and poorly cleaned. The lifts were unreliable (our card didn’t work half the time) and being charged extra for parking on top of an already steep accommodation fee was unreasonable. The downstairs facilities were below standard and nothing like what was shown in the pictures — a real rip-off. In our room, one of the lights didn’t work, the air conditioning was weak, and there were no block-out curtains, allowing bright streetlights to shine through all night. The sink wouldn’t drain properly unless lifted manually. There wasn’t enough linen — only one washer provided for two people. For the price, not even having a smart TV was disappointing, and it was frustrating to have to pay extra for movies. There was also no microwave, toaster, plates, or basic amenities. The wind coming through the doors and windows was loud and frustrating to sleep etc. Overall, my partner and I were extremely dissatisfied with our stay and will definitely not be returning.

In this instance we will extend a 50% discount on the accommodation amount totaling $579 for the inconvenience caused. I have investigated the meal charges and acknowledge that they have been incorrectly charged to your room and therefore have removed and refunded these charges. Very good experience , and all staff we meet were most helpful with great customer service Only negative was no welcome gift provided in room as per other Accor hotels for gold members, maybe this is something Novotel hotels don’t provide?
