Disappointing Stay at Novotel Jeddah

My recent stay at the Novotel Jeddah Tahlia Hotel was disappointing due to several critical issues. The room was specious, but not well maintained, the furniture was old, the bathroom had an unpleasant odor and visible mold, which is a serious health concern. The bed and pillows were old and uncomfortable, impacting the quality of sleep, and the air conditioning system requires an upgrade. The elevators were outdated, dirty, and poorly lit, contributing to an overall feeling of neglect. Despite booking for two people, the amenities provided were insufficient, with only one shower towel and one toothbrush. The absence of hangers in the closet added to the inconvenience. While breakfast offered a decent variety of options, the poor quality of the food did not meet expectations. The internet was also very slow, making it difficult to work or stay connected. As a Diamond member, I am entitled to a welcome drink and late check-out. However, my membership status was not recognized. No welcome drink was offered, and after many calls, the front desk allowed me to check out at 13:00. I stayed at this hotel last year, and it was a much better experience. It's disappointing to see such a decline in quality and service.
