Regarding the air conditioning, please allow me to note that it only allows for a certain range of individual adjustments. In general, our system is set to a maximum difference from the outside temperature (DIN EN 16798), in accordance with the recommendations of the German Federal Environment Agency, to avoid negative effects on our guests’ health. Unfortunately, when outside temperatures are unusually high, the system reaches its limits. We are pleased to provide our guests with an additional fan. The hotel is located in an amazing spot, with the nearest train station under a 10 min walk from out the door. Local tram lines are even closer. Breakfast was fantastic as many others have noted, and overall service was quite good. The people at the front desk kept my bags at the front before my check in time so I could walk around without all that weight, which was greatly appreciated. All hotels are quite pricey in Munich this time of year, so for what I paid, which was quite little, compared to what I got, I’m very satisfied. I actually prefer this location over being in the noisy city centre. Not much else to stay. Very clean, modern, well kept spot.

We stayed there for 4 nights but repeatedly felt that the staff at the reception were very unwelcoming. From check in to check out, the tone was constantly to undermine the guests. No pleasant smile or check on the guests ever.

The room might be small for families for longer stay, but we had an overnight stay only so it was not an issue for us. The breakfast was great, and the check in/out went smooth.

The room was spacious and comfortable to stay in. Also appreciated the mini bar service. The only point for improvement is that I was not able to enter the hotel when I first reached . I took a late flight so my arrival was quite late. I had pressed the bell at the front several times but it did not work? A few moments later a staff member came to the door so I was able to enter in the end but I was worried that I will not be able to get in.

Aircon is hard limited to 23 which is too hot to sleep and so no one slept all night

Dear Mr D., I am sorry that you were unable to have a restful night, and I sincerely apologize for the inconveniences caused. Please allow me to explain that our air conditioning only allows for a certain range of individual adjustments. In general, our system is set to a maximum difference of 7°C from the outside temperature (DIN EN 16798), in accordance with the recommendations of the German Federal Environment Agency, to avoid negative effects on our guests’ health. Unfortunately, when outside temperatures are unusually high, the system reaches its limits. In such cases, we are pleased to provide our guests with an additional fan. It was a pleasure to have you as our guest and I would like to thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Novotel München City Arnulfpark. We hope to welcome you as our guest again. All in all, a good stay. For a 4 star hotel I would have expected better coffee in the rooms like pods not instant. The room could also have been cleaned better.
