The hotel is in a great central location, but my stay was let down by several maintenance and safety issues. The card reader locks on both my room and my travel companion's room were broken and held together with Blu Tack, with the batteries exposed when the door was bumped, or even shut, as disintegrated Blu Tack was not strong enough to hold it. Being unfamiliar with Brisbane and other people staying in the hotel, i felt concerned that anyone walking past could have removed the batteries and temporarily locked me out, which didn't feel secure and resulted in me carrying my belongings out of the hotel every day (even if not necessary). Secondly, every morning there was a loud, high-pitched squealing in my room (908) that sounded exactly like a fire alarm. I checked and no alarms were going off, so it seems to come from the pipes or hot water system, but it was far louder than normal plumbing noise and very distressing. I recorded it on my phone to illustrate how loud it was to my travel companion. On the first day, i genuinely believed there was an alarm going off in my room and had a panic attack. In the shower, the combined shampoo and conditioner product dispenser was locked, but the body wash dispenser wasn't, so its contents could have been tampered with. I didn't feel comfortable using it, which left me without soap on my first night after a six-hour drive. If locked dispensers can't be checked/enforced in every room, individually wrapped soap would be a simple fix. I hope these issues are addressed, as the location itself is excellent. I would not recommend the hotel and did not personally have a good experience staying there.

Great staff and a very good overall experience. I really enjoyed the amazing river view, friendly service, and the good food at breakfast. The only shortcoming was the lack of a cupboard or adequate storage space for clothes.

Had two cracked wine glasses in my room which both had to be replaced.

The full glass windows looking over the river and beyond make the compact space acceptable. That said, the bed is super and comfortable and the location is tops! We watched the Riverfire event from the room as an unplanned event which added to my wife’s birthday. Foodies delight and walk to everything you desire.

Beds were concmfortable making lot of noise. Room blind was damaged and outside lite was coming in all night. Was not fixed even after complaining in the evening. TV old style you can't connect your phone to watch something.
