Room was not clean and very dated. Room was smelly and the air conditioning did not work well. The hotel price was very expensive for what you get. The breakfast was average. This is a 3 star hotel at best and charges a fortune for the location. I would not stay at this hotel.

While the location was nice, we found the hotel itself a mixed bag. The staff at the desk were lovely, staff at the bar were difficult, we had a great table staff support us in the restaurant. Did valet parking but there was nowhere to park and were told to park in the turning lane and valet would be "right there" and then had to wait 12 minutes for the valet while parked in the actual turn lane. We had a room that had a lovely balcony, but the room itself the housekeeping staff hadn't completed cleaning with the entire shampoo bottle missing from the room all together, the shower smelling of mould, and no replacement toilet paper. These issues were shared with the front desk and they did address these, but it is a concern that it happened at all. The room smelled musty and the air conditioning vent got pulled up into the ceiling which was very disconcerting. Pool was nice. For a Mantra, it didn't feel like a quality experience and made us want to return to other hotels in the area we usually use including Rydges, Novotel and downtown Marriott and Westin. The responsiveness of the staff was helpful in addressing some of our concerns, but does not clear up the concern about overall practices.

The online booking needs fine tuning. Can't change dates - have to cancel and rebook. Phone booking - equally frustrating - staff need more training. You'd be better having booking direct with hotel staff- less confusion.
