After checking in on the first day, I was pleasantly surprised that I was upgraded to a studio apartment. But upon entering my room, there was something on my desk that looked like a cover of the gadget on the wall by the study desk. I complained immediately to the front desk and they promised to fix it while I stepped out of the hotel. On the second night of my stay, I was looking for a mug to use for my tea. I couldn’t find one in the cupboard so I checked the dishwashing machine. There I saw stained or unclean mugs. When I turned on the kitchen lights to inspect whether it is just stain, I was able to see other unclean dishes in the dishwasher. These dishes were probably left there unclean by the previous occupants of the studio apartment room. I complained about this when I checked out the next day. It is a bit disappointing to stay in this Accor hotel with this kind of service. They need to step up to the Accor level of service and make sure that everything in the room is clean, including the dishes before the next guest occupies the room.

Main negative is there are no breakfast options for business guests and no evening meals available onsite. Breakfast starts at 7am and I am long gone by then.

We had a 3 night stay in a 1 bedroom city view room. Room was very comfortable with a kitchen and laundry. It has a nice pool and wonderful staff. The only disappointment was the restaurant and bar wasn't open.

Staff, location and room were great. Parking on arrival and general parking limited and expensive $40/night valet. The restaurant and bar weren't open for meals and there was no room service. Restaurant was only open for breakfast. I believe the excuse was COVID but at the time we stayed there was no community infections and very few restrictions i.e. no masks etc. We have stayed at other Accor properties over the last few months and restaurants and bars were open.

Great location but not for me.

A couple of important factors for me when I travel are the bed and the bathroom. I don’t know if the bed wasn’t a standard queen size or it just felt small because it was in a small room, mattress was too firm and lumpy. I am not a fan of a shower over a bath. I only stayed here because Novotel Southbank was unavailable for the month. The hotel restaurant was not open for dinner. We only stayed one night as a result.

Was given a twin room as requested but with single beds! I would expect single beds from a motel, not a 4 star hotel. The only window overlooked the train lines and bus corridor. Paid extra to include breakfast, had to ask Reception 3 times about the earliest we could have breakfast. Receptionist offered us some pieces of fruit and a croissant!! I took my chances and arrived at the restaurant 10 mins early, the lady there was fabulous and took our order quickly and our meal was out in 5 mins. Concierge was great, he had our vehicle out quickly so we could leave quickly. This is our 3rd visit in 6 months to this hotel and was the worst room we have had along with the worst service at reception. For a price of over $320 I expect better.

For $250 it was a great location and the staff were great but that’s where it ends sadly. The room was clean but I didn’t like the fact that the bathroom entrance was right next to the bed! And the pillows were terrible!!

My husband and I stayed at the Mantra over the weekend with our kids in a 2 bedroom room. The staff were friendly and helpful and made our stay enjoyable. It was in a great location and was within walking distance of everything around South bank. Our kids are already planning our next visit!

This property is in very poor condition. We have staid here twice in the last few months and nothing has improved. Carpet missing inside robe, thread bare at bathroom door, blinds didn’t fit properly, very poor layout.

Perfect location for the Cultural Precint

The room was spacious and within walking distance to QPAC, the Museum and the Art Gallery. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner but with so many restaurants/food outlets close by it was not a major concern.
