A couple of important factors for me when I travel are the bed and the bathroom. I don’t know if the bed wasn’t a standard queen size or it just felt small because it was in a small room, mattress was too firm and lumpy. I am not a fan of a shower over a bath. I only stayed here because Novotel Southbank was unavailable for the month. The hotel restaurant was not open for dinner. We only stayed one night as a result.

The value for money is not to standard. We paid $279 for a twin room. There was only one bed. We didn’t even get a bottle of water. The carpet was wet underfoot. The room smelt muggy when you walked in. We went to foyer to meet work mates to meet for a drink….. no bartender so left! Very disappointed for paying top rates. We stayed at the Hilton for same money two weeks ago and it was chalk and cheese in comparison! Wouldn’t stay again.

Rooms are feeling a bit tired and the incredibly loud fan in the bathroom ( which can't be turned off) which runs 24/7 nearly ruined our stay

First room we were allocated had a strong smell, reception quickly changed us to another room which was perfect. All staff went above and beyond and customer service could not be faulted

Good location. No water / bottled water in the room - this is a pretty basic thing. A fair amount of mould in the bathroom.

Enjoyed staying at The Mantra, South Bank. Staff were pleasant & helpful, breakfast was delicious, room was spacious and very comfy beds. The pool was nicely heated and good for laps.

The brief stay was very well catered for by the Mantra staff, from the valet parking, room service and very nice breakfast. It is in a great location, directly across the road from the Southbank precinct.

The linen was amazing and fresh. The cleaning staff were incredibly friendly and the location to Southbank was incredible. We paid a lot of money and we swear we got the worst 2 bedroom apartment in the building. The windows looked straight into concrete walls and industrial objects. I have two young kids and the verandah was attached to an ugly roof of which was a constant worry as all the kids had to do was climb on the outdoor chairs and they could walk on the roof. You couldn't get access to the pool unless you contacted reception as the swiper was broken. The bed configuration was awful. They arranged the two single beds for the kids in the main bedroom with the ensuite and the tv and then the double bed was in the other room for the parents. We stayed for six nights and had to keep asking for bin liners and washing powder. And when we did it was like Mantra was on rations. The aircon setup was ridiculous and kept turning on and off for no reason. There was huge bird poo on the main bedroom window and both bathrooms had mould on the tiles and around the shower. The front of house staff were not helpful at all. We had two children (one of which who has a disability and was in a walker) and a lot of luggage. There was no offers of help. We had to source our on luggage trolley. We weren't told about the facilities available at the hotel. We didn't get directions to where our room was located. We travel often and Mantra has always been an enjoyable hotel to stay at. However, this experience is the complete opposite of what we are used to when staying with Mantra. Very disappointed.

This property is in very poor condition. We have staid here twice in the last few months and nothing has improved. Carpet missing inside robe, thread bare at bathroom door, blinds didn’t fit properly, very poor layout.

Perfect location for the Cultural Precint

The room was spacious and within walking distance to QPAC, the Museum and the Art Gallery. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner but with so many restaurants/food outlets close by it was not a major concern.

We find Mantra South Bank so convenient when we travel into Brisbane to attend shows at QPAC. Situated across the road from the South Bank restaurant strip it's great for dining and easy walking distance to the theatre. Great also for an after theatre drink before turning in for the night

We will be very happy to stay with Mantra South Bank, Brisbane, anytime. The staff were welcoming and friendly and always happy to help. The rooms were well appointed. The hotel is close to Southbank and well positioned for QPAC, the railway stations and busway stations.

Great Hotel and Great Staff and close to everything.The beds are very comfy and rooms nice and clean.The staff were friendly and very helpfull and allways had a smile.The hotel has a pool and gym.This hotel is a must stay in Brisbane,I will be back.
