Good Afternoon Peter, Thank you for sharing your experience, and I'm sorry the stay didn't reflect the value we aim to offer, particularly for a well-travelled guest with high expectations we should have met. I understand the room you were given didn't suit, with a lower floor and an outlook onto the building rather than the view you'd hoped for and room type you'd booked, and that the alternative offered on the 7th floor - our top hotel floor - didn't feel like enough of a change to be worthwhile. Room requests are noted where possible, but I recognise this didn't come together for you on this occasion, and that's a fair criticism. On the cost of parking, we do offer both onsite valet and offsite self-park options, and I'd note that a flat-fee self-park option is also available nearby at the BCEC carpark, which some guests find more cost-effective for longer stays. I'm sorry the overall experience left you feeling it wasn't worth the price, and that you've closed the door on returning, we'd love a chance to reignite your faith being a life traveller in the future. M., Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback, and please accept my sincere apologies that your check-in experience and request for parking assistance fell so far short of what you should expect from us. Arriving somewhere new and not receiving the guidance and warmth you deserved is genuinely disappointing to read, and it's not the standard we hold ourselves to at any stage of a guest's stay, but especially not at that first point of contact. I want to look into this properly and address it directly with the team members involved, particularly around how we support guests who are unfamiliar with the area and need clear direction on parking and access. This is something I take seriously, and I'll be raising it at our next team briefing to ensure every guest, regardless of when they arrive or what they need, receives the attentive and welcoming service we're known for.
