The location was awesome being there for a work trip. I was quite disappointed that the apartment is advertised as a "4 Star", which later was discovered to not actually hold an official Star Rating... Accor should re-visit this and perhaps change to a self rating. The apartment was run down in desperate need of new carpet, furnishings and a bathroom reno.

Before I get into the review, I want to state how fantastic the front-desk staff are. The issues I experienced were not their fault and am really pleased with their efforts to improve my stay. Arrived before check-in time and was pleasantly surprised to have early check-in. This nice surprise was quickly over shadowed by the state of my room. The room itself looked tired. The lounge area smelt damp and it was clear there was mould on the floor closest to the balcony, next to the couch and on the couch itself. There were insects in the bed and bedroom area. The alarm clock was unplugged and wrapped in cords, sitting in the bedside table. The bathroom sink was making a huge amount of noise without even being turned on. It seemed like an issue with the pipes but either way, required the bathroom door to be closed at all times to muffle the sound. After heading downstairs and having a chat to staff, they were helpful in swiftly providing an alternative room. This room itself was better, although the smell from the general lift area was so strong that it required putting a towel under the front door. Random stains on the walls made it clear that cleaning wasn't a high priority. Mugs were stained. Bathroom although cleaner than the first room still had lots of soap scum in the shower. After three nights in this room with two more nights left in my stay, I received a notice that painting was to take place on the balcony and the painters needed access anywhere between 8am to 3pm. There is no safe available in the room to place valuables which is concerning if I am supposed to help facilitate someone else requiring access to my room. Obviously this unexpected inconvenience impacted how much I could enjoy my stay. Being on a lower floor than the first room, I was also able to hear more of the construction noise during my stay. Overall, the property itself is in a great location but the actual experience of staying onsite was terrible. Management need to appreciate how much their staff are doing to make visitors happy but there needs to be better attention to cleanliness in the rooms and an overall improvement in room condition.
