The hotel is in a great location and i had really great and friendly service by the staff on reception at check in and check out. Despite the construction the room was quiet. The furniture in the room (couch and dining chairs) are extremely stained, possibly moudly and far below the quality I expect for the price of the room. So much so that I couldn’t sit on them. I saw some reviews about the state of rooms where management responded about improving housekeeping. This absolutely wasn’t a housekeeping issue, it’s soiled furniture that needs to be replaced.

This is my second stay in 3 weeks. Last stay I was on the 11th floor and experienced lots of overnight noise from the crossriver rail works. I mentioned this at my next check in and was put on the 22nd floor - much better. The shower is over the bath with a fixed perspex screen and door. It’s quite difficult to exit the bath when the base is slippery. On my first stay there was a non-slip bath mat supplied, but not my next stay. I called reception and was told they don’t supply the non-slip mats any more, so I had to use a towel inside the bath/shower to prevent slipping. Friendly staff. Nowhere to redeem your free drink if you’re an Accor member

Centrally located, however for such a new building, no double glazing/poor insulation. Even on the 42 floor you can hear all the street noise. No chromecast ability on smart TV, this needs to be standard. The bathroom is a shower in a bath, the bath is very high, if you have any mobility issues (such as a sprained ankle), it will cause difficulty as there are no grab rails. Once the construction has finished, hopefully be a bit more quiet.

mantra on mary is at a great location with great and helpful staff. cannot overstate how good the staff and the facilities are nice too carparking at $35 a night seems a bit extortionate the fitout of the rooms leaves much to be desired with ikea and anko/kmart furnishings, uncomfortable beds and even pretty average linen. i dont know how ratings are done but it is definitely misleading to say it is 4 star. 3 star at best or even 2.5 would be more accurate. having a washing machine and clothesline is definitely a plus
