Our group of 3 friends had a 3 night stay at the Mantra on Mary and stayed in a 1 bedroom family room. Check in was efficient and the staff member was friendly and helpful in relation to accessing parking. The apartment was clean and beds comfortable but a few things were lacking: no ice tray in freezer, white walls completely bare - no artwork or decoration, some furniture items were of very cheap quality, sliding door to second bedroom could not be closed. The shower over bath is very high which may make access difficult for some people. We were in an apartment facing Mary Street with construction next door and we were concerned as pile driving started at 7am Saturday morning but fortunately there was no construction on Sunday or holiday Monday. Overall, we enjoyed our stay as we specifically wanted to stay in Mary Street with many attractions, Botanic Gardens, shopping, casino and affordable restaurants nearby. As an Accor Gold member I appreciated the welcome note and treats.

The stay was without issue and the staff were excellent however the construction noise next door in the middle of the night was excessive. I appreciate this is outside the hotel's control however, unless the hotel with heavily booked, it would have been much better to be on the opposite side of the hotel where my colleagues stayed without issue.

This is the fourth time I have stayed. I have asked for a receipt to be emailed to me so I can reconcile my credit card but every time except one I have had to follow it up. The only time I didn’t I asked for a printed receipt before I left. It’s disappointing that every time they say yes what’s your email we email a receipt and they don’t.

Great staff. The driveway arrival past the bins I understand is a tricky one for management however worth noting. The odour and general cleanliness is clearly a challange. Keep up the good work!
