I've been to a few hotels in Europe and this one by far had the most helpful and friendly staff , from the reception to the housekeeping they made me and my girlfriend feel so welcome. It's also perfect in terms of location about a 10/15 minute walk to the chapel bridge and old town area , multiple shops are located in the immediate area along with the lion monument. We highly recommend this hotel with its competitive rates for being so central to such a beautiful city.

Nice staff, well located to get around the local area with clean rooms. Breakfast had a wide selection of fairly poor quality food, we didn't go on the 2nd or 3rd day because of this.

We arrived at Ibis Styles Lucern City Hotel on 23 December 2025 around 08:00am. Knowing our early arrival, I had previously emailed to inquire the possibility of an early check in, even if additional fee is required. I was told that there is no such policy, and the hotel will accommodate if there are rooms available. When we arrived and check with the front desk, the staff said “check in is 3pm ma’am, there is no hotel in the world that can check in so early……” After a 12+ hours flight, such a rude and impolite sarcasm is unexpected and deeply disappointing. We fully understand that check in times are in the afternoon and we don’t come to take lectures on hotel check in policy. It is a very unpleasant experience and such a bad start for our trip. We expect a higher standard of hospitality from your establishment.

Great Experience for our trip to Lucerne

My friend and I spent a week in Switzerland and Lucerne was our final city prior to returning home. ibis Styles was one of our favorite hotels! The location was great for us; an easy walk from the train station, an easy walk to the Lion Monument and the Glacier Museum, and an easy walk to the Old Town. We also loved having the Coop Supermarket and restaurant across from us. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was very small, and we couldn't figure out how to keep the shower head up, but it wasn't enough of an issue to complain to management. My chief complaint, and this is not a big one, was that the safe in the room did not have instructions in the inside of it and after locking it, I had to get help from multiple employees to open it! We learned that the safe had just been replaced before we arrived and it would just be helpful to have instructions for users since it wasn't super intuitive.
