It is a nice hotel, perfect for business trips or overnight stays for families with children. However, unlike in other Mercure Hotels, there are no activities or playing corners. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, so if you like to sleep or work from the comfort of your room, you should be prepared for the annoying sounds of the driller as early as 7 a.m.

Very disappointed

On arrival the systems were down so we could not check in.. also there was no porter service and we had to use the provided luggage trolley ourselves to take our luggage into the hotel.. we left our luggage and went out.. we were checked in when we returned 4 hours later. There is no kettle or fridge in the room which was a problem especially since we had a child who needed milk and was autistic. Upon check out I went down to the reception ( which was very far from my room) to get the luggage trolley i was told that the trolley wasnt available because possibly another guest was using it. This meant that they had only ONE luggage trolley servicing the entire hotel. This was a major inconvenience as I had alot of luggage plus my baby and stroller. I had to make multiple trips to and fro from my room to bring down all my luggage. In all my years of travel I uad never experienced such crappy service. Please remive the 4 star rating as this hotel is not even a 3 star hotel by any standards.

Great location and clean

We stay at the Mercure at least once or twice a year. It’s in a perfect location for us near our daughter and in easy walking distance to the train station. It is also close by to a lovely park. The rooms and linens are comfortable and clean. Our room this time was a corner room overlooking the street and with lots of windows bringing in lots of light. Sometimes things get missed in housekeeping. This time one day of cleaning was accidentally missed and one day we only found 1 bath towel to use between two of us. During one other previous visit there were no pillows when we first got there. I think sometimes the hotel gets too busy with the bus tours and they fall behind in housekeeping. But I will keep using the Mercure for our stays as these are minor issues that can be fixed, unless this becomes a frequent issue or pattern.

in general the experience was satisfactory, but the temperature in the room was quite cold and I was not able to switch on the heating
