Having stayed at other Ibis hotels (mostly Cambridge) I had high expectations but it was disappointing, especially for the price which was very high (>£200 including breakfast). The bedside table was broken so I could not safely put a hot drink on it. That indirectly led me to spilling my drink - which luckily was hot water and not too hot. The window in the room could not be opened so it was stuffy. There was not a choice of pillows and I prefer a flat pillow. The breakfast was very disappointing - gritty scrambled eggs and tasteless hash browns. No warm vegetables (mushrooms/tomatoes) available. Only instant coffee for decaf.

I had a lovely time at Ibis. I particularly appreciated how central it is, and that is the main reason why I chose it. Staff were very helpful and housekeeping was impeccable. No complaints. I'd have really appreciated a mini-fridge in the room even if that cost mode. But otherwise, I had no issues, and will recommend this hotel to friends staying in the UK.
