We were not happy with our stay. Central location was handy. Staff friendly. Small rooms with twin beds right against each other. Only one of the 2 lifts worked when we were there. We booked for 3 nights. 2nd afternoon, toilet handle was very loose & I advised staff. That evening, toilet leaking water, told staff. Was advised maintenance had gone home & as toilet flushing they would arrange repair the next day. When I asked what we were to do if toilet stopped flushing overnight, I was told that we would need to use toilets in the bar, 3 floors below us, as hotel full. Great idea to wander the hotel in the middle of the night in PJs or to have to get dressed to do it. The toilet wouldn't flush the next morning so I notified staff. They arranged for us to have another room once it had been vacated & cleaned, so we had to pack up all our stuff before we went out for the day. On return, we were given another twin room. Small beds against each other, but at least a flushing toilet. We were not offered an upgrade for the inconvenience & embarassment, or a breakfast or even a cup of coffee. Anything might have been appreciated. This really detracted from our opinion of Ibis & Accor.

Very nice check in person. Easy checkin. Great location. Slept well. The only down aspect was the economy character of the facility. No fridge. Plastic chair. It was just comfortable but no sense of a fine hotel. I was grateful for the kettle.

I arrived with an injured knee from hill walking, the staff on reception were so kind and helpful. Lovely lady with auburn hair arranged an early check in and without me asking chose a room close to the lift - this transformed my stay as I could move about the hotel much more easily. I loved the clean and uncluttered design of the room and the semi-circular bathroom was brilliant. The shower was hot and powerful and the room temperature was easy to control. Despite being the weekend and on a main road the room was very quiet at night. This was an expensive one night stay for me, but didn't feel over the top as everything was excellent.

I chose this hotel for my sister and I for our stay in Edinburgh, as it seemed to be perfectly located in the city centre and we wanted to explore the city by foot. Being right in the heart of the city made it very easy to explore all the spots we wanted to see as everything on our list was within a walking distance. Additionally, having a coffee shop and a corner store right next to the hotel really came in handy, and there were plenty of places to eat really close, whether we wanted a quick bite or a proper meal. Regarding the room itself, we also had a very positive experience! The bed was quite comfortable and we slept really well every night. Despite being in a busy area, we didn't experience any noise disturbance from outside or from other rooms, and the housekeeping staff did a great job taking care of our room each day, which we deeply appreciate. While the bathroom is quite small, being sort of capsule-style, it was clean and the shower itself was quite large. There was a strange mechanical noise every time we would flush or use the shower/sink, quite similar to a macerator, and while it was surprising at first, it wasn't much of a bother and we got used to it quite quickly. All of the staff members were particularly friendly and helpful, which greatly improved our experience. We felt welcomed right away and had very positive interactions each time we needed assistance, which happened daily as I needed to store medication in the fridge at the reception and they never made me feel like a bother when I requested access to it, so we really want to thank all the team for making our experience so pleasant! I We specifically wanted to thank the receptionist who checked us in, as she was extremely nice to us and gave us a wonderful first impression of the place, but we unfortunately didn't catch her name as she didn't have a name tag. We didn't encounter any issue whatsoever during our whole stay, so everything was perfect! We were definitely satisfied with this hotel and we would definitely consider staying here again if we come back to Edinburgh in the future.

There were 2 elevators ,but working only one , because since 4 days we stayed , one was not working and guests were waiting for elevators unnecessarily .İt was so strange for me. In four days , the breakfast they served was exactly the same one day before. Noting was not changing . The scramble egg was not any taste . The employees were so friendly and helpful. Room was so small ,and the important problem was the window was not to be opened.These four days we couldn't get any clean air. There were no system to get fresh air inside the room even temporally .

We have an extensive set menu that includes both Continental and Full Scottish options. We offer modern compact accommodation up to the city's and brand's standards. However, our premium rooms offer a more spacious environment should you require more space on your future stay! As for the windows, we cannot open them due to the hotel's guest safety policy. However, all of our rooms are equipped with an AC to help with the air circulation and temperature control.
