Room was a good size and bed was comfortable. I stepped back into the 1970’s when I went into the bathroom. The flow of water from the shower was minimal (any less and I would have struggled to shower). Breakfast was adequate (you get what you pay for) although you could have played ice hockey with the black pudding. Overall, very basic and was ok for a 2 night stay.

Nice hotel. Loved the fields surrounding it and felt private. Staff where nice. I expected the hotel to be older so not disappointed in that aspects but our key wouldn't work so we had to go downstairs to get fixed. The shower system was old and hard to use and we couldn't control the temp well and there was a fan in the room but it was broken. This was slightly disappointing as whilst not expensive the hotel is not cheap either and I have stayed in much cheaper places where everything worked as it should

Toilet took ages to refill. Bathroom door kept opening. Stools in bar area were stained. Paintwork in breakfast area in need of refresh. Breakfast was lukewarm

We booked a three course meal pre-booked at £22 each but they didn't have any vegan options other than sausage and chips...other than that the stay was very good and the breakfast was good for us as vegans

Our visit was pleasant and the staff very helpful. Our score was related to the soundproofing between rooms. Our room had a connecting door which meant that we heard the neighbour making phone calls between 02:00 and 03:00. Sadly the neighbour on the other side returned with what sounded like many others (given the number of doors banging) and proceeded to chat with others for another hour. We discussed this with reception in the morning and we were offered the chance to change room but also advised that the neighbours were checking out. We did have a good night’s sleep on the second night.

I found the hotel very clean. My room was a little dated especially the bathroom however it was very clean and comfortable. I liked the choices of breakfast which catered for everyone. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

I had a lovely stay, room was a nice size, clean and fresh. Easy checklist and well sign posted. Only thing I would say is that the bedding had a few stains on it down the bottom end of the bed. Probably wear and tear but could do with a new set

The stay was good no issues with the hotel on a whole. There was issues with the bar not knowing how much things were and just guessing prices along with over charging.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your recent review, I am sorry to see your comments in relation to the bar, the tariff is displayed for all our guests to see along with the menu's being priced. I do hope that the team resolved any issues whilst you were still at the hotel and this will not deter you from returning to the hotel for a future stay should you be in the Bolton area.

Hotel not well signposted from road , car park a long way from reception, comfortable but rooms looking tired , nice breakfast

Room nice on ground floor but not as big as we have stayed in before but those rooms did not appear in the drop-downs on the App, we visit every year as this is were we got married. Staff were friendly & helpful, food lovely - although we did not get the chunky chips even tho said on menu we would!
