Room was perfectly acceptable but there was mold in the shower. Breakfast was great and very generous. However, the whole experience was spoilt by having to pay to park. I’ve never had to pay as a guest in any hotel car park before. I have since checked the website and can’t find any mention of this. It’s a false economy really as I stay in a lot of hotels but will avoid Mercure from now on.

The best bit about our stay were the welcoming, friendly staff. Very efficient and helpful. Breakfast was also first class with plenty of choice and a lovely room.

We booked a function room for a birthday party and stayed overnight, the hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good even though the hotel was full. All of our family and friends were very impressed.
