Disappointed that the Italian Restaurant was closed mid-week. Your website states otherwise.
Would be a great idea to open the whiskey bar at night 7 days a week. Felt that the midweek guests are treated a little differently. Also, it would also be a good idea to leave a bottle of water in the room.

Really nice staff.
Previous guests’ hair shavings in bath tub, silicone around bath terribly done.
Walked around the property, every detail to make this place a beautiful were not done.
Dead fish in the bottom of the aquarium, lucky our kid didn’t see it.
Breakfast was good, nothing to say about the food, beautiful view of the blue mountain, unlucky windows were covered by spiderwebs.
This place has an amazing potential! At this stage, it’s not worth the price considering all the elements.
Beautiful entrance, unfortunately stairs had some broken lights at night and weeds growing into it.
I worked for Accor group for many years, I do know and understand about what is involved with hospitality & tourism specifically in this category of resort.

I have been coming here for 40 years since I was a small child- I have never seen it run down this badly- the common area still lovely but rooms sub par, little no no amenities in the room, my linen smelt damp, got a happy birthday message and a “enjoy complementary amenity” but there was none. Breakfast was ok but it used to be amazing- facilities still good but again really tired - ie arcade needs re ferv and pool area could be updated- mostly the room was just disappointing- peeling wallpaper, filthy carpets, mould on bathroom (and hair from last guest so not cleaned properly)- we still had a nice weekend but was actually really very sad to see “our” amazing hotel so run down compared to what it used to be- our annual trip may not happen next year sadly

The location and grounds of the resort are beautiful and well maintained. Our kids loved the pools and jacuzzi as well as the games arcade and giant slide. However, the rooms, main hotel building and general structures around the resort are in urgent need of refurbishment. The exterior of the resort looks very old and run down requiring more than a coat of paint. The poor condition of the exterior really sticks out in contrast to the well maintained gardens and detracts from the beauty of the location. The rooms, at least the 2 we stayed in, had really old carpets and furniture as well as aging bathrooms. The same can be said of the passages and general areas between rooms and floors. The food options are average for the price especially when considering how many more affordable dining options are minutes from the resort. The staff were all excellent and the service we received from everyone was very good. I wouldn't recommend the resort for an adults only holiday but it's great for a family getaway if you're happy to accept the deteriorating conditions.

Hotel was messy, dirty and the service was poor. Lots of facilities not open or in terrible state: the pool was freezing and mouldy. Wapaper peeling in room. Carpet dirty. Called for milk to be delivered to the room, it never came. Not worthy of the Fairmont brand and not worth the money.

This hotel is set on large green grounds butting on to walking tracks. It overlooks The Blue Mountains- a magnificent part of Australia. Reception staff are welcoming and friendly, eager to find out about your plans, your needs and willing to give customers their time.
The car parking is open air with a clear pick up and drop off area. Rooms are large with comfortable furnishings and some rooms look over the stunning scenery. Windows can open to the fresh air or air conditioning is an option. Televisions in the room are large but are not smart TVs which was surprising and possibly a necessity and a customer expectation, when staying in a hotel of this standard. Adequate charging areas beside the bed would be another recommended improvement for customers.
The bar and restaurant spaces are roomy and inviting with options of cafe style dining and fine dining.
The Embers restaurant is outstanding-food, table service, views and ambience. Staff are particularly attentive.
There is a large foyer area and also other facilities which we did not have the opportunity to use. Next time…

Check in experience quick and friendly. Embers restaurant prices are on the high side. Both showers in pool area had no hot water and also the sauna was not working. Reported both issues and these were rectified in a timely manner (not had issues with those two facilities in the past so this was a one off and therefore nothing to get annoyed about but just wish other guests had reported this earlier)

Everything I had hoped for.
Comfortable environment with open fire and well spaced tables, fine fare and of special note ... a caring, capable happy team. All staff went out of their way to ensure a memorable dining experience. Their manager Joel led from the front assisting all to appropriate levels.
This standard was also present in the hotel reception team and the staff in the ground level coffee/bar.
Congratulations Fairmont ... I will be spreading the word!

We were welcomed by Adil offering to carry our little bag. The staff were so professional and friendly Elizabeth. Miya and Laura at the restaurant. We would love to visit again after the renovations are done at some of the rooms. As an Accor member received the discounts on food a drinks too.

We love staying at the Fairmont. The rooms suit us well and beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant and a night cap at the whisky bar without needing to dive anywhere. A short trip into town or walk out straight into the bush, a great location to explore the mountains from!
