The best experience with Accor ever. Specially talking about Supervisor Everton and Receptionist Thamires, because their customer service was excellent by helping us to get the best room for our stay after having some problems with the reservation.

Service at the desk was fair. A good amount of employee employees spoke English in Spanish and we were able to help us. I did a load of laundry. It was not brought up to my room. I was told to come downstairs to pick it up and it was a lot of laundry would’ve appreciated a delivery. the shower had fruit flies coming up the drain that would only stay out of the room with the air very cold and the bathroom doors open using the shower twice a day to drain them out. The beds are a little bit uncomfortable. My shoulders and neck were hurting, but the linens were clean room service was prompt. Phones the phones in the room did not always work to call the desk. Breakfast did not have a lot of variety, but it was good most of the time

Overall I had a good stay. The room: spacious and very cold, but the beds were uncomfortable. The shower is only a rain shower so don’t try to save your hair from being wet. I had to go downstairs and wait in long lines about 6 times because my key would randomly stop working. House keeping: amazing service they kept our room clean and gave us fresh towels daily. Room service food: I found ordering it at the bar was easier because dialing out was nearly impossible. Food came quickly, fresh and delicious. Restaurant: breakfast was always good and a lot of options. Dinner was a disaster. I was not allowed to order from the kids menu even when I offered to order 2 meals. I ordered a well done steak with no blood. Even showed the waiter on Google Translate. I was brought a rare steak in a pool of blood. I was told they can’t make this steak well done. So I went across the street to Tia Augusta and got good food. Location: quiet and very safe neighborhood. Good escape from the overcrowded ipanema and other popular spots. Only a 30 minute uber ride to anywhere. The beach was footsteps away. Tia Augusta is right across the street and they kept me fed well and very affordable. Spa: phenomenal. Great prices and the massage was fantastic.

Good premises, typical Mercure standard - you know what to expect. Very slow check-in / check-out / info desk. Not a lot of people working for the amount of guests. Cleaning of bedchamber skipped one day. All staff trained as typical Accor personnel: not very friendly and not very willing to serve.
