The location is definitely one of the hotel’s strongest advantages. The hotel would benefit from greater attention to cleanliness and hygiene, particularly in some areas of the property. Some of the sofas and furniture also appear dated and could use refreshing, while certain bathrooms and toilets would benefit from better cleaning, maintenance, and renovation. The lobby in particular could receive more attention to cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation to create a more welcoming first impression. Overall, Pullman remains a convenient choice for my stays in Doha, particularly because of its excellent location and the convenience of having everything nearby. With greater attention to cleanliness, hygiene, maintenance, and refurbishment, the hotel could provide a much more polished and comfortable experience.

As an Accor Diamond member, I booked the Pullman Doha West Bay for a transit layover in Doha, expecting a seamless experience. Unfortunately, the stay fell well below the standard expected of the brand and loyalty tier. To start, the scheduled airport transfer was delayed, with the driver arriving 30 minutes late. Upon checking in, I tried to redeem my welcome drink voucher at the café, only to be told several selections were unavailable due to missing ingredients. The tea I eventually received was essentially undrinkable and ended up down the drain. Furthermore, my key card was not coded for executive lounge access upon arrival, requiring me to go back and request a replacement. Lastly, there was neither a welcome amenity nor a personalised welcome note provided throughout the stay.

My recent stay at Pullman Doha West Bay was, unfortunately, an average experience, with several issues that affected our stay. The check-in and room experience had a number of problems. Room 2106 had an unpleasant smell, particularly in the bathroom. In addition, the connecting door between the two rooms was jammed, and I had to contact maintenance to have it addressed. Room 2107 also had a significant issue with the air conditioning. The AC was not functioning properly and the room was not being cooled adequately, which was particularly uncomfortable. The breakfast experience was also below expectations. The food itself was less than average, but the bigger concern was the cleanliness. During all three days of our stay, the breakfast tables were consistently dirty. On several occasions, we had to clean the table ourselves before sitting down with our family. Even when selecting a table that appeared to be available, we repeatedly found it had not been properly cleaned. Overall, these issues made the stay less comfortable than expected. I hope the hotel management can look into the room maintenance, air-conditioning, and especially the cleanliness and table-service standards at breakfast, as these are areas that significantly affect the guest experience.

I booked a Superior Executive Room directly through the Accor website and also added late checkout to my reservation. Unfortunately, several issues during my stay made the overall experience much less seamless than I would expect from a Pullman property. First, my late checkout did not appear to be properly reflected in the hotel’s system. I had to inform the front desk myself that late checkout had already been added to my booking. More surprisingly, when I went out in the afternoon and returned to the hotel, my room key had already been deactivated, even though I still had a valid late checkout. I was therefore locked out of my room and had to go back to reception to have the key reactivated. This was extremely inconvenient and quite difficult to understand, considering the late checkout had already been arranged through Accor. Second, I booked a Superior Executive Room with Club Lounge access, but I was not informed before arrival that the Club Lounge was under renovation. I only found out after asking the staff at the hotel. I was then told that the ground-floor restaurant was being used as the temporary alternative for Executive Lounge guests. However, when I went to the restaurant, my room number was not on their list of eligible guests. The staff therefore had to repeatedly check whether my room actually included lounge access. Again, it seemed that my reservation details and benefits had not been properly synchronized between the hotel’s systems or departments. There was also a significant difference between the normal Club Lounge service and the temporary replacement. The restaurant service ended at 8:00 p.m., whereas the Club Lounge would normally remain available until 11:00 p.m. There did not appear to be any alternative arrangement for Executive guests after 8:00 p.m. This is a substantial reduction in the benefit, and I believe guests booking an Executive Room should have been informed about this before arrival. The individual staff members I spoke with were generally polite and tried to assist, so my concern is less about any particular employee and more about the hotel’s communication and reservation management. During one stay, I had to personally confirm my late checkout, have my room key reactivated, ask about the lounge closure, and then reconfirm my Executive Lounge eligibility at the restaurant. For a hotel at this level, and especially for a booking made directly through Accor, I expected the reservation details and associated benefits to be correctly reflected across the hotel without the guest having to repeatedly explain or verify them. I hope the hotel can improve the synchronization between Accor reservations, front desk records, room key access and Executive Lounge eligibility, and also provide clearer advance notice when an important Executive Room benefit such as the Club Lounge is unavailable or significantly reduced.
