Overall, I had a pleasant 7-day stay at the hotel. The restaurants were excellent, and the concierge team was both professional and friendly, always willing to assist with any needs. The reception staff were generally polite, though at times, there was a slight sense of condescension, particularly depending on the guests' backgrounds. My room was cleaned daily, and I appreciated that tea, coffee, and bathroom supplies were replenished regularly. Additionally, the common areas and facilities, such as the swimming pool, were consistently clean, disinfected, and well-maintained, which I found reassuring. One area for improvement would be the noise isolation between rooms. Sounds from the floor above were clearly audible at times, so enhancing soundproofing could improve the overall experience.

Great pool and beach facilities

The staff at Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha are very friendly and committed to superior client services. We encountered this commitment to service excellence with every staff member we encountered from the doormen, reception staff, restaurant staff, lifeguards and waiters. The outdoor facilities are excellent the pools, the beach area and seating areas are in excellent condition, well maintained and there are more than enough pool loungers, towels and lifeguards available to cater for all guests. We were on the all inclusive package and had all our meals included, however we were not impressed with the food in the buffet restaurant, the menu is pretty much the same everyday and we did not find the food on the buffet tasty. We had a beautiful two bedroom family suite, I only have one concern about the main bedroom in the family suite, the lighting is very poor in the room. Other than the food and the lighting in the room we had a great family holiday.

Short 1 night transit stay

We recently enjoyed a short 1-night transit stay at Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha, and as with our previous experience, we were thoroughly impressed. The hotel's convenient proximity to the airport was a major plus, especially with an early morning flight the next day. Upon arrival, the reception staff warmly greeted us. To our pleasant surprise, Duty Manager Ms. Sonia recognized us from our previous stay, a gesture that immediately made us feel valued and welcome. As a token of appreciation for our return, Ms. Sonia kindly upgraded us to a one-bedroom suite, ensuring a comfortable and restful stay before our early morning flight. This thoughtful gesture truly warmed our hearts. Despite the hotel being quite busy due to the festive season, the staff remained attentive and helpful throughout our stay. We revisited the Farmhouse restaurant and were delighted to find it completely revamped with an improved layout and delicious cuisine. Although our stay was brief, our night at Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha was truly memorable, providing a perfect end to 2024.

Pleasant Stay

Our initial room was opposite the air conditioning units outside and the constant buzz irritated our daughter who has special needs, we had to change rooms. Location good for airport but not close to malls. Food was good but lacks variety although staff were very accommodating. Beach was sandy and clean but service could be better with more food and drink stations. Pool was good with a nice temperature but need updating, also life guards were too strict and having Jacuzzi for adults only was a poor decision, at least allow 5 year olds and above access. Overall a good hotel but not at the levels we’ve experienced in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
