We arrived on the 09/11/25 for 10 days for our wedding anniversary. from the minute we arrived the staff could not do enough to make your stay enjoyable. The atmosphere wherever you go in the Grand Mercure Phuket Patong is incredible the staff are friendly helpful and polite. Having Lunch and Dinner or just a snack at Bubbles restaurant the food and flavors were incredible. We also had the Monday night sea food dinner that was incredible. The service and advice regarding flavors and spices from Kai and Jasmin was fantastic. Now Mind and Matoom at the bar were brilliant the service was incredible they would go above and behind normal service no matter where you were they would find you for your order. We had breakfast at ChouChou every morning and the staff there were very nice and professional and service was great. Sita at the front office was incredible if you require advise or help with anything she will organize or point you in the right direction. With how holiday my wife rolled her ankle and fractured 3 or 4 bones on the 6th day will shopping in town. We got her back to the Grand Mercure resort and the security, and Sita took over and organize a wheelchair, the security officers got her back to the room, and they looked after my wife and made her as comfortable as possible the first aid was A1 and I could not have asked for a better team to help. The next morning, I had to get my wife to a hospital, so the security and Sita organized an Ambulance to take us to the hospital. At all-time the staff from in the Grand Mercure resort eg Sita at the front desk to Kai and Jasmin to Mind and Matoom at the bar and room service, Security and sorry if I missed anyone. They made our stay wonderful under how circumstances and thank you we will be back same time in 2026. Franck and Sharon

Myself and my husband have just returned from 13 nights spent at the Grand Mercure on our first ever holiday to Thailand from the 21/11/25. We booked a Superior room with a King bed. The commute from Phuket airport was approx 1 hour and 15 minutes. We arrived after 10pm, check in was very quick and efficient. We were offered a refreshing tea and hand towel. The hotel requested a 5000 baht deposit at check in, which I paid by credit card. I don’t think that we have ever been asked for a deposit at a hotel before, but it’s fine I guess We were then taken to our room on the top floor to room 650. Service & Staff The service here is honestly the best we have ever experienced in any hotel. All staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful throughout our stay. Sandy at reception deserves a special mention, she helped us arrange a late checkout which the hotel was fortunately able to accommodate. Also, a few days after an incident we experienced in the area, Sandy recognised us in the lobby and kindly came over to check how we were doing. A thoughtful gesture we really appreciated! Housekeeping Housekeeping was excellent. Our room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels and bedding changed every day. The cleaners work very hard, so definitely make sure to tip them. Complimentary bottled water is also provided for brushing your teeth. Food & Facilities The WiFi is free and accessible throughout the hotel with very good connection. We used an Airola eSIM for when we were outside of the hotel. We had dinner at Bubbles Restaurant on our first night, even though we arrived late, thankfully they allowed us into the restaurant and the food was very good. The hotel does offer room service too. Breakfast starts from 6.30-10.30am. Very nice with lots to choose from including an omelette station. The gym is open 24 hours and has everything you need, my husband even managed to get a workout in. I used the hotel’s dry cleaning service. Someone came to the room for collection within just a few minutes of me making a request for dry cleaning. I then received everything back the same day, clean and neatly done. You can collect towels for the beach and for your excursions from the concierge desk. Pool towels are available by the poolside. The hotel provides access to a steam room, where the temperature is extremely hot, we only managed a few minutes at a time. Room & Comfort The room included a phone, fridge, an iron, ironing board, hairdryer, a safe, shower & bath which are very convenient. There is limited volume on the TV which was frustrating when we watched a film one evening. We couldn’t turn the volume up to a comfortable, louder enough level. The bed was very comfortable and the blackout curtains worked well, which made sleeping easy. Location The location is good, about a 15 minute walk to Patong Beach. Quiet hotel but also close enough to everything. There is also a lovely restaurant opposite the hotel to the right that we really enjoyed. The hotel offer a shuttle bus twice a day to Patong beach and to a shopping mall but they’re only a short distance so we walked. However, there are a few areas the hotel could improve: * Very limited drawer space for clothes, which is difficult during a 2 week stay. * Only one sink in the bathroom. * Water leaked outside the bathroom after every shower. * The rooms are quite dark with very dim spotlights. * There is no balcony. * A broken tile under the sink. Tip We booked all of our excursions with Nat - a tour operator based in the restaurant of Patong Social Hotel a few minutes from the Grand Mercure. She is very knowledgeable, professional and not pushy. Overall We really enjoyed our stay, especially thanks to the hard working, amazing staff and hospitality. They really are a credit to the hotel. They are genuinely kind and go out of their way to help you, so treat them with the same warmth and respect they show you. Ignore the negative reviews. Despite a few minor room let downs, we had a wonderful stay, and we are already looking forward to returning to Grand Mercure. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is not interested in accommodating any of your requests of early checkin or late checkout even though 50% of the hotel remains vacant. Gave room so far even though I was with an infant. Staff if not cooperative in terms of room upgrade or breakfast related thing. Had requested for an infant crib also which they failed to provide. Considering the prices they charge rooms are quite small in size. No balcony.
