The hotel boasts a perfect location directly opposite Leiden's bus and train station, making it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area, including Leiden itself, Amsterdam, and the Keukenhof gardens.

Two night stay in central Leiden. Hotel is convenient for the city centre and rail station. Room was quiet, clean and with a comfortable bed. The only criticism is that breakfast is extremely expensive, you can go to one of the many local cafes for a good breakfast at half the price. Staff were all very friendly and professional from check in through to check out

Anyone who thinks they are staying in a comfortable hotel will be disillusioned. We booked the superior room category twice with friends. The furnishings are not only sparse, but also far from good styling. This is where cheap meets tasteless. IBIS, give me a small budget and I'll furnish the rooms with IKEA so that guests can feel comfortable. Where can you find walls painted brown (!)? Yes, at the IBIS Hotel Leiden! The breakfast buffet is also terrible. Cheese without flavour from foil packaging. The sausage selection is also sparse. Only the WMF coffee machine deserves a word of praise. Overall, the hotel cannot be recommended for the price
