Filthy rooms and a stain on the name of All Accor

Good morning P.. Thank you for letting us know about your stay with us. We are very sorry for all the embarrassment caused to you. These events are not common in our unit and that is why we are extremely worried. We recently carried out external pest control which probably caused this problem. We carried out a sweep of all the rooms and have already scheduled pest control throughout the hotel so that this does not happen again. Once is enough

The reason for my "poor" rating is the location of the hotel. The Ibis Contagem is situated within a industrial area directly besides the 24 hrs busy and very noisy highway BR 040. And since we are in Brazil, the windows of the hotel rooms facing the highway are not of the double pane type as in Europe or the US, which means a loud environment in the room. In my case the window closing mechanism was even malfunctioning, which meant more noise. I changed the room, but it was still noisy. The only escape is to ask for a room facing the industrial area and not the highway, which in my case it was fully booked. The Ibis Contagem room has also the hideous window curtain, which covers not only the window, but half of the table. The cleanliness of the room was just average. Two plus points: the food at dinner and breakfast was excellent and the staff was superfriendly. On-site parking is free. But for me once is enough in this hotel.
