We stayed for 2 nights with our dog for a visit to historic Avignon. There was still so refurbishment work going on but the staff coped with this well.

Only stayed one night but appreciated the friendly hospitality. Room was perfectly set up for family of four. Staff super helpful in giving suggestions for visits & meals. Definitely recommend!

Comfortable and enjoyable Some mis communication about my entitlements being a diamond member

Hotel is nice, clean and well located near Avignon Old Town. However, I had two issues in particular. First, the hotel is supposed to have Air Conditioning which was not working. I selected and paid for a hotel with AC, so when I arrive I expect it to work and it did not. It was quite warm during our stay and this made for 3 uncomfortable nights sleeping. Second, I booked 3 nights with breakfast. On the second morning at breakfast we were asked for and gave our room number, after breakfast we were accosted by a staff member and told us we had to pay for breakfast. We informed her we did not as it was included in our booking. Note that this was not a language issue as my spouse is fluent in French. Novotel/Accor clearly need to do better on both these issues.

I travel to Avignon at least once a year, and when I do, this is where I stay. It's always a pleasurable experience, and the Hotel is conveniently situated just outside the city walls and close to the train station. The staff here are generally helpful and pleasant.
