We chose the hotel primarily for its convenient location as a stopover on our way to Geneva, and in that respect it did not disappoint. The location is indeed excellent and well-suited for travelers in transit and visit to Avignon. However, the overall experience fell short of expectations, particularly when compared to the usual standards associated with Mercure hotels. The accommodation and facilities were below par and in need of improvement. Additionally, we were supposed to receive information regarding parking in advance, but this was never provided, which created some inconvenience upon arrival. That said, the front desk staff were helpful and did their best to address the various issues we encountered during our stay. Their efforts are appreciated, even though they could not fully compensate for the shortcomings in the facilities.

Our third stay in Avignon at a Mercure hotel. Never had a room with a view, just a dark courtyard. Hotel seems due a refit. Reception staff were super friendly and helpful

Helpful, friendly welcome from staff at reception. A little bit disappointed with the room, which was apparently a Privilege Room. The decor was a bit tired and in need of some refreshment. However, the bed was comfortable and plenty of hot water in the shower, so really not too much to complain about.

The location was stellar. The desk staff were very friendly - giving us 3 excellent references for dinner for our 3 nights there. The breakfast included option was perfect for us.
