The hotel is conveniently located and breakfast abundant. We were only concerned that even though we agreed for cleaning and change of towels every 3rd day, this wasn't always in place. Other than that, thank you for your hospitality.

I loved this place. I wanted to spend an extended spell in the area (I spent 17 nights), so I wouldn't feel compelled to rush to see everything in 2-3 days; I wanted something moderately priced; I wanted breakfast included; and I wanted a location that though not within the medieval walls, was close enough that everything within the walls was within a 10 minute walk. Budget Ibis Avignon Centre fitted the bill. The room was bare-bones, but hey, it's a 2 star hotel. Things important to me about the room - quiet, clean, plenty of hot water, working TV - were taken care of. The bed is one of the most comfortable I've experienced. And the staff! Wonderful people, helpful, polite, all seemed to speak enough English that I could navigate - they even put up with my attempts at bad French. Unlike lots of places that advertise daily newspapers but don't actually have them, the hotel had a nice selection of reading material at the front desk. The continental breakfast was excellent: fresh baked goods, some fruit, cold cuts, jams, yogurt, cereals (muesli!), and excellent coffee machines. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
