Modern Airport Hotel perfect located near the Auckland International Terminal– Recently I had the opportunity to stay at the new Pullman near the Auckland Airport International Terminal, and it was a positive experience. The staff were friendly. The standard room, in which I stayed, was well appointed. Ceiling to floor windows. Wonderfully firm bed. Modern lighting. Good spot for hanging clothes in the room. Shower included overhead and stem mounted heads. Room includes several powerpoints, as well as, USB-A and C sockets. Two less positive aspects: As seems to be the norm for most modern shower designs the shower door allows leaks into the bathroom. Not huge, but noticeable. interestingly the toilet was enclosed in its own small room/cubicle with French doors. However, there was no sink within the cubicle. The sink is next door in the shower. Not sure this is optimal.

Smooth booking and check-in process. Some confusion as to whether breakfasts were already paid for (This was an accepted offer of an upgrade from Novotel Auckland Airport, so the data was difficult to access apparently.)

I arrived at check in. I went to the Accor priority check in desk. I was ignored until all other guests were checked in and I walked over to a receptionist’s desk. I stood like a lemon at the Accor priority check in desk for over 20 minutes as if I thought I was better than everyone else checking in, but I was just standing where I was meant to be. I was ignored 100%. I recommend if there are insufficient staff to manage the Accor priority check in desk that a sign be placed on it advising guests to stand in a different queue. The receptionists seemed too young and inexperienced to perform their role adequately. Aside from the above, the room was lovely and new and modern.
