I was a bit worried at the location from the main railway station but am glad we stayed here! It is modern and the decor is funky, our room looked out over the far bank of the Saone River to lovely old ruins, it was clean and very comfortable. Check in was friendly. We loved the outdoor deck and had drinks there every afternoon. Breakfast closed at 0930, a bit early we thought, so we missed the first morning after a full day of travelling the day before but it was plentiful and the staff were friendly. Ebikes for hire though we caught the local bus over the road into the city centre and walked to the old town. Entry straight into a shopping mall too! We would stay here again.

We have been staying here, every year, for a number of years. For us the location is perfect. Secure parking is always available and as we are normally packed to the roof on our way further south this is an additional bonus for us. The hotel is still great, rooms very adequate for our needs, comfy bed and a decent shower. The restaurant and menu choice in the evening is excellent and the breakfast isn't far from it either! Staff are always friendly and help is on hand if needed. English speaking too again a bonus for us. All I can is see you next year :-)

Good location but I don´t like the ambiance

I definitely don´t like the welcome desk services in Novotel Lyon. Location is good, easy for transportation and shopping. You pay 15€/night for a pet but for nothing, no services.
