We stayed as a 2 night stopover to break the drive to Spain. The hotel is very comfortable and well located. There is lots to do in the immediate surroundings and the area is well connected with travel options for the city centre and beyond. The view from the room was worth the trip.

Travelling as a family of four, including two 11 year olds, we all enjoyed our overnight stay. Interconnecting rooms were reasonably priced. Easy parking. Staff super helpful. Great views from the restaurant. Boys particularly loved the table football and arcade machine! Hotel being connected to a nice shopping centre was convenient, and a tram stop nearby meant we also found it easy to get to Vieux Lyon. Musée des Confluences also a short walk away.

Great location to see Lyon. Many restaurants in the attached shopping mall. Excellent service from all staff members who speak perfect English. Superb breakfast. Room was large and very comfortable.

The staff at the reception desk was warm and helpful. We asked about the AC and got it fix within the hour. We asked about a second robe and set of slippers and the young woman from the reception brought them to our room in person. The cleaning staff does an amazing job and is friendly too. The view on the river is fantastic if you book a room with rover view. Our room was quiet, safe, very comfortable with a great comfortable bed and pillows, good hot shower with good pressure, nice Nespresso coffee, and freebies in the fridge. The AC is the most silent I have experienced in hotel rooms. This was our 4th time in this hotel. Tip: if you exit the hotel when the mall is closed, take the elevator to the street level. We exited the hotel through the mall at 7am and all the grids where closed. We had to go back in the Novotel to use the elevator.

My stay with Novotel Lyon began on weekend, at the time of my checkin (evening 9~10pm+) which the level#2 door access via gourmet bar is locked and voice-call is not made available. As a late check-in customer following the Centre Confluence signage leading my way to level#2 only to find no reception counter nor front door access is particularly concerning to me (and no prior message/ email notification on instruction were given either). After which, i have to figured my way out to walk a big round trip to ground floor lift lobby in order to reach reception counter with two luggage. The reception counter arrangement is a disaster in my humble opinion. other than that, the room is nice, clean and big in size.

The room is absolutely beautiful, and the level of luxury goes beyond what you would typically expect from a four-star hotel. The service at reception during check-in was exceptional. We arrived at 4 a.m., and despite the early hour, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness. The thoughtful gifts for my children made the experience even more special.
