Novotel Lyon Confluence Hotel 4 stars

The staff were universally friendly and helpful. My suite was comfortable, although the furniture was stained and looked as if it had seen better days. The wifi was unreliable but fast when it worked. The TV channels were adequate. I appreciated the sustainability initiatives (they really respected re-usng sheets and towels, the water in the fridge is filtered and in a reusable bottle) but the single-use plastic cups were a disappointment

well placed & friendly staff

Travelling by car from Amsterdam to Nice over many years the Novotel Lyon Confluence has been our stopover since we discovered it about 8 years ago. It is well situated, has secure parking for a luggage laden vehicle and has all the facilities one would want.

My 4th stay , excellent location , lovely design of reception and breakfast areas , great new passageway to the mall , clean rooms but small parkings and not very practical since guests must validate parking tickets repeatedly from reception, suites 2nd rooms not fully separated by doors from bedroom. I would visit again in the future !

Located in the Confluence centre made the stay very convenient to facilities. The staff jave excellent English, which for non-French speakers like me, a great source of comfort. The room was very stylish with great views. Not much storage space tho.

It was good location and nice friendly staffs except one for check out process. It seems to me he doesn’t like travelers from other countries like asians from USA. Why people behaving so differently by appearances? Don’t understand. I got very hard time to go through check out process over an hour. He is only one to be more friendly.

A very nice place

Very great , with good accommodations

We asked for gluten free bread and we were told in the first morning there was no delivery that day... but for all three mornings we had breakfast, my wife (that has celiac disease) had no gluten free bread at all. We can undertsand possibly that for one day, but for all the four days we stayed at the hotel it is not acceptable. Plus, we had mentioned in our reservation to have gluten free options available at breakfast. But no bread, no biscuits, no cereals, nothing was available. As I had all prepaid, I had no reimboursement of the breakfast, but I think we should have not paid for the breakfast at all.

The hotel room was cozy. The bed is so comfy that my daughters slept so good. It is clean and well equipped that it makes you feel at home.

We experienced travel issues due to the National Strike and when I inquired about canceling my reservation, I received push back. A strike is a force majeure so legally, I should've been refund. Yes, my reservation was pre-paid and non-refundable but due to the circumstances, the Reservations team should'be been more understanding. I work in a hotel and I know my team would've refunded this. Fortunately I booked new train tickets and made it to Lyon. When I arrived, the nice gentleman had a hard time finding my reservation because it was canceled. I'm not sure why my reservation was cancelled without my confirmation. One night we did not receive room service and when I asked for someone to refresh the room, no one was onsite.

Surprisingly good hotel in great location

Staff at the hotel are truly excellent. Always work hard to make guests feel welcome. Reception staff are fantastic, particularly Inis and Gregoire

Novotel Lyon Confluence had great service from check-in to check-out. Room was clean and comfortable. Great location, safe area two blocks from Tram station.

The staff was pleasant and the room was clean.
