I enjoyed my stay at Ibis Bogota Museo. And felt very confortable in the room I got. All the staff is very kind and helpful. I enjoyed breakfast in the morning ,the waitresses were very attentive and efficient.The staff at the front desk also always ready to help and answer my questions about Bogota surroundings.

The hotel has some minor issues that I was dealing with okay, but then I saw that they don't enforce the mask policy at all. Two times I had to wait a very long time on the elevator because it contained maskless idiots, so I couldn't go in. I then watched the idiots walk right past "security" and the front desk and not a word was said to them.

Cold and Limited

Bogota is a cold climate, I stayed on three separate occasions in this hotel, in which the heating didn't work in any of the rooms. As my flight was really late (00-35) I requested late checkout. On the first occasion, l was charged 5% of my room rate, which I was happy with. The second was 45% and the final was 50%!!! Quite why the price changed each time I'm not sure but on both of the final two occasions I negotiated down to 35% which was still a lot higher than the first charge. The hotel restaurant was extremely limited in choice of menu, although I will say the ceviche was excellent and I would highly recommend it. Location is good for access to and from the airport. I felt quite comfortable walking around the area outside the hotel and I found the staff quite friendly.

ibis has always met my expectation. It's in a very safe location with lots to see and do. The ibis in Cali is my favorite next up Bogota then Cartagena. I with the rooms could be a little warmer if not then at least a heating element for those cold nights!

Some things have changed in one year

Every year I travel to Bogota to pay a promise to the divine Child of the 20th of July. This is my favorite hotel because of its proximity to the temple. The staff always are excellent. they always have a positive attitude and they try to make your stay to be pleasant. This time two small details caught my attention. The first was the fact that I ordered a chocolate in the bar located at the reception. Unfortunately to my surprise the lady who was at the service prepared it with a milk that I had obviously already observed was exposed for a considerable time, before my comment about the milk was not fresh, she completely ignored me, and continued to prepare my hot drink. Obviously, in my opinion this is not acceptable and as expected I did not consume it. The second situation observed was at breakfast time. Breakfast was not included in my reservation, however you can choose to order one and add it to their account. The option I chose for me and my sister was the buffet; and it reality was not what I expected. First the portions look like portions for cocktail, they are small. There was no hot coffee, juice, just two pieces of bananas, and two empanadas. When I asked one of the employees, he told me that everything was over and that I should wait for 15 or 20 minutes while the food was ready. I think that the restaurant must be prepared to keep food available at all times, especially when it is breakfast time.

Good accomodation in the heart of Bogotá

This is a classical Ibis hotel, well mantained, clean, good wifi, walking distance to one of the best restauran areas in Bogotá, in fornt of National Museum, and the neighbourhood is very safe and nice.

Gum stuck to lamp. Shampoo/Soap dispenser!

There was gum stuck to a lamp in the room, no iron in bedrooms, and soap dispenser in showers which was supposed to be shampoo/conditioner/soap. The A/C wouldn't cool, had to open window to cool down. Staff very unhelpful, tried to borrow a pen and the front desk said no.

In general the IBIS is the same in all countries, but in Bogotá is a few different with a special breakfast, with many fruits and options and a high level in the restaurant - CEVICHE. It's only put a frigobar in the room will be perfect.

I have stayed at this hotel several times, and will probably stay there in the future the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are adequate, not very roomy. Beds are very comfortable. The location is quiet and peaceful, good for sleeping. The hotel is well-located; it's easy to get around Bogotá from there, at least to the places I'm interested in. The buffet breakfast is good, and helpful for conveniently getting your day started in this area of the city. I wish the dinner menu were more varied and included more modestly-priced items. I've never eaten dinner there, mostly because of the prices. The rooms are not very expensive, but not exactly a bargain either.

It is a nice enough hotel; rooms are clean; restaurant/bar is open 24/7. But don't expect any amenities in the bathroom. There are no hand towels, no tissues, and a combined hair shampoo and body soap dispenser. So, if you want a bare-bones hotel - this is it. But it was conveniently located and the staff was friendly.

Overall the hotel was fine and the service from the staff very good . The hotel seemed a little drab compared with other Ibis hotels l have stayed in . The tables in the dining area where unstable an easy fix by adjusting the feet but every table we sat at was like this .l feel that a little more attention to small things will improve the overall experience .

Had to write a complaint letter

Unfortunately had to write a complaint letter, as the standard best practices aren't applied in that hotel, which made me loose a lot of money by not being able to charge me in local currency.Additionally, they asked me to pay a few days before my check out - at which point i decided to cancel my next nights and change hotel.Very frustrating
