We have reached the hotel with 1.5 days of delay because of Lufthansa Group incompetence. Unfortunately it was too late to change the booking but this is of course not fault of the hotel, we will charge the airline for the damages. The check-in at 4am was quick and professional. We got a wonderful upgraded room. The hotel staff supported us with troubles related to our travel problems: delayed luggage, rebooking of further flights and so on. Everything was done smoothly and professional. On the day of departure unfortunately our room was not available for late checkout but we had offered solution of moving us to some smaller (still beautiful) room, our bags were moved smoothly to that room but the staff. This was something really exceptional.

Unfortunately, it is very difficult to rest at this hotel. The property is located next to a construction site and on a busy avenue, and there is significant noise during the night. The windows are not properly soundproofed to isolate either the construction noise or the street traffic. In addition to this, music from the hotel’s own hallway can be heard clearly inside the room. Between the external noise and the internal noise, it is extremely hard to sleep, even when earplugs are provided. What was most disappointing for me was how this situation was handled at check-out. After being asked if I wanted to leave a tip (which I did), I was asked how my stay had been. I shared these concerns at the front desk, in front of three staff members, and none of them acknowledged the issue. There was no apology, no attempt to explain, and no offer of any kind of compensation. This did not feel like hospitality and left a very poor final impression. The problem was not only the experience itself, but also the way it was addressed.

We arrived in the evening from the airport. Our room was a decent size with good air con. The bathroom had L’Occitane products and a decent over bath shower. My only negative is the lighting in the room was dreadful ! Theres dim lights by the bed and one spotlight on one side of the room. We had to use our phone torches to unpack. We had dinner on the first evening which was really nice and great service. Breakfast was good, a lovely spread of fruit, yoghurts, pastries and so on. We used the gym both days - it has a couple of treadmills, cross trainers, bike and a few weights (not many) but was fine. Every member of staff we encountered was very friendly and professional. The area is really nice, with lots of bars, restaurants and shops. We had a great stay..
