The hotel is located at a good area, close to the airport and just next to the tram stop - 15 minutes from Nice's city center. The staff is nice, but at some points they seem to be understaffed (e.g. only one people managing reception at many times, and you need to wait a lot even if you have a quick question, they don't answer the phone from the room, etc.). Unfortunately online checking was not working, even if I followed all the instructions provided in the email, so there was no way to skip this part. The room is small but it is fine, although it looks much better on the pictures. The proximity of the airport is not an issue, however you can hear constant honking from the street (it must be a French thing), and there is generally a big traffic if your window faces the street. A bigger problem is the super thin walls, if somebody shuts their room door, even our bed jumped and the walls were shaking. This is very very bothersome during the night. Another problem we faced was with the water in the shower. It is either hot or ice cold - there is no in between. Might be a French thing as well (would explain the high usage of perfumes in the country if nobody could shower properly). Only one morning was I able to get some mildly hot water for about 15 seconds, but that is it - you either get burned or freeze to death. Cleanliness is generally good. Breakfast was OK, but there were no real warm meal options (you could cook egg, but nothing else). I was very disappointed, because normally I like to choose Ibis branded hotels, they are conveinent, nice for a good price - this was neither of these.
