Mermate1 Solo travel - TripAdvisor review

It’s a rather sad place, and the fact that the breakfast room is in the basement with no windows just gives you a generally depressed feeling. The decor and general worn down, shabby state of repair means that this hotel must truly be due for a major renovation soon. It really doesn’t deserve the branding of IBIS Styles, and is very much a budget IBIS. The bed was comfortable but sleep was frequently interrupted by the slamming of doors and other guests talking in the corridor. The receptionist was polite and friendly enough but I didn’t need more than just a key (you get an old-fashioned metal one!) and to pay, which was handled quickly and easily.

It's a very nice and affordable hotel, very nice location as well. You have lovely bars around the building and sightseeing can be started right away. Rooms are small, but cozy.

Friendly staff, comfy bed, reasonably good choice of breakfast. Great location, right in the centre. Little bit of street noise but it's expected when in the middle of the city. Room a little small and not well lit but only needed it to sleep in. Overall good value.

Great hotel, very conveniently located close to everything, shops, restaurants and attractions. The staff were very helpful and nice. The room was comfortable and clean. The carpet was perhaps the worst aspect of it but that did not take in any way from our stay. The breakfast was included and it was really nice, a continental style breakfast of all you could eat. It was superb value for money, very reasonable for the centre of Nantes. I’d highly recommend this hotel.
