I was very disappointed with my experience at this hotel. As soon as I opened the door to the first room, there was an unpleasant smell. I understand that the building and rooms may be older due to the location and country, but the kitchen was extremely outdated. One of the cabinets was broken, and one of the panels in the living room area was also damaged. I took pictures and showed them to the person at reception and asked for another room. Initially, I was told there were no other rooms available. After some time, I went back and insisted, and I was eventually given another room. The second room was better. The strange smell was still present, but the kitchen and bathroom were in better condition. The breakfast was the most disappointing part of my stay. I paid extra for the breakfast service, but there were very few options. The eggs did not seem fresh and appeared to be the type of processed or pre-prepared eggs that come ready-made in a box. Overall, it was one of the worst hotel breakfasts I have experienced. On my last day, I had to leave around 5 a.m. While waiting for my Uber, I took a cup of orange juice from the machine. The person at reception immediately told me that I could not take it because it was for breakfast. I explained that I had paid for the breakfast service and was only taking a cup of juice, but I still found the situation very disappointing, especially given the overall experience. I was in the city for a congress, and I mentioned this hotel to some of the other people attending. Through those conversations, I realized that the other hotels in the area were much better and newer, and definitely offered better breakfast options. Knowing this, I regret choosing this hotel. I honestly do not understand how this hotel has a 4-star rating. This was my first experience with an Adagio hotel, and unfortunately, based on this stay, it will also be my last.

The place had an unpleasant smell, the toilet always smelt like the public male urinal , the layout is dis functional , it looks old and tired . We didn’t have much choice for our welcome drink either. Parking was very expensive.

The hotel is extremely well situated with easy access to the City of Nantes. Our apartment was clean, roomy and spacious and the staff could not have been more helpful. However, getting to the hotel by car was a nightmare! The description on the website mentioned that there was parking, but gave no more details than that. There was certainly no indication that it was necessary to request a space beforehand in order to get directions on how to access the car park. Consequently we spent a very difficult 20 minutes or so going round and round in traffic trying to find our way in, before giving up and phoning the hotel. They then gave us the necessary instructions, which were quite complicated, but we eventually found the car park. Could you please make it clear in your communications that, if you want to use the car park, you need to say so beforehand to get the necessary instructions. Thank you. Once we got to the hotel, everything was great, thanks, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Unfortunately when we came to do the check-out we were made to pay extra but at the reception they could not give us a proper explanation as to why we had to pay extra. They said that if we being overcharged we would be refunded. In fact we paid just over one hundred euros.

Loved our stay at this hotel. It is in a great location right beside the Chateau with tram, bus and train stops within a few metres. Room was very nice. Staff at reception were just lovely, always smiling and welcoming. Will definitely be back when in Nantes again

I stayed at Adagio during the hottest days in July and it was so good to be in my room due to good air conditioning. The linen and towels were fresh and the kitchen was equipped enough to make meals myself. The hotel was conveniently located close to the railway station. As for breakfast, I would appreciate some fresh veggies and also if the company would hire more people because clearly it was understaffed. There was a food stain on the sofa that I think should be cleaned properly.

The room was equipped with a shower area and a bathtub. However, neither the shower area nor the bathtub had a shower curtain or a shower door. In addition, the bathtub drain could not be closed due to a malfunction, which meant that taking a bath was impossible and the bathtub could only be used for showering while seated with the handheld showerhead. The staff informed us that, because the hotel was fully booked, it was not possible to change our room. As compensation, they could only offer complimentary breakfast.

Great staff shame about the bath. Extremely disappointed because we paid a lot more than we usually do for a one night stop just because we both needed to have a hot bath to help with back pains. It was therefore incredibly frustrating to find that there was no hot water in the hotel!! I will be staying somewhere else next time.

Shower door did not close at all. Had to use towels to stop flooding. Handbasin did not hold water. Making it hard for my husband to shave. No water or tea or coffee in the room. Some staff did not acknowledge us at all

This is clearly not the level of comfort we aim to provide, and our maintenance team has been informed so these points can be addressed promptly. Please also note that a receptionist is present 24/7 at the property, and we always encourage our guests to contact us immediately if they encounter any issue in the studio. Our team always does its best to resolve problems as quickly as possible together with our maintenance technician. Regarding tea and coffee facilities, we would like to mention that a complimentary coffee machine is available to all our guests throughout the day in the common area. We also provide a water fountain as well as a carafe in each studio so guests can refill it freely. We have chosen this solution as it is much more environmentally friendly than providing plastic water bottles and coffee capsules in the rooms. We were also surprised by your comment regarding the attitude of our staff, as our team is usually particularly appreciated for its warm welcome and kindness. Nevertheless, we take your feedback seriously and will share it internally to ensure that every guest feels acknowledged and well cared for throughout their stay. Great staff, very helpful. Good location for walking to the Ducs de Bretagne castle and gardens. Room was great too. Bathroom let's it down. Black mould on ceiling and dirt inside the shower's tiles grout and no lighting in the shower cubicle.
