The food of the breakfast buffet was not good, the dried fruits were too dry, the pancakes and “crepes” were cold, the buffet was not too clean. In the the bedroom, the flush was half broken, the 2 bathroom glasses were not clean and there was some dust on the headboard and bed light switches.

I arrived without a reservation after a delayed flight meant spending a night in Nantes.The reception staff were very sympathetic and welcoming,giving me a pleasant room on the first floor with a good view and excellent sound-proofing.Dinner in the restaurant was very good and well-priced,but breakfast was exceptional for the range and quality of its offering.In short,what could have been a bad travelling experience turned out well!

The room was comfortable. Bathroom was bigger than the bedroom. It was cold and took time to warm up. I was on my own so thought I would have room service. It was very limited, unlike the extensive drinks menu. Luckily the station is next door so I got something from there. The entrance door was smashed and replaced by wood which was not welcoming. I would have liked to have stayed again on my way back through Nantes but even the cheapest rooms are double the price which I can't justify.

After spending three days in Paris at a 4-star hotel from a large American chain, this Mercure property felt more like an Ibis than a Sofitel, which is often the case with Mercure hotels. That said, we had a pleasant stay overall. The value for money was good, the room was clean and reasonably well-appointed, and the bed was comfortable enough. However, slippers and a proper ironing board were not provided in the room as standard amenities. The location is excellent, particularly for those planning to take the train or rent a car.
